I'm looking at an 1960's pre 64. I'm kind of a rifle newbie. Doesn't look like original stock. What should I look for in this model? What should I look for in barrel condition (pitting, deep groves, ect?)? Also, any issues with these older rifles shooting solid copper ammo? Thanks in advance.
Are barrels marked differently for the M70's that were assembled in South Carolina vs the new Portugal assembled guns? How can you tell difference? Thanks. :banghead:
Been reading that the new Federal HST may have some feeding problems in 1911 platforms. Any 1911 owners (specifically) come across this?
As a second choice, do you 1911 guys prefer the classic Federal Hydra-shok or Winchester Ranger SXT or Remington Golden Saber or other 230 grain NON +P?
BTW...
I had a LMS-1202 for a 870 in my safe. I opened it to install and noticed that it had batteries installed already but they looks a bit corroded and did not work. Is there a way to clean out the inside of the battery area before I buy new 3V Lithium batteries? Is this RUINED or can it be cleaned...
