The professor shooter article said,
"Police have previously said Bishop had no permit for the gun they believe she used in the shooting, and investigators said they didn't know where she got it. It's not clear if that was the same gun that her husband knew about."...
I am getting ready to load up a bunch of 40 Smith for a Glock. I got some brass that looks good to me. I am a 45 ACP loader and this is the first time loading 40.
I've read some about stressed out once fired Glock brass (unsupported chamber), and wondered if the brass looks very pregnant or...
Reloading savings are substantial the longer you are in the game.
The primers I use now I purchased for $10.00/1000 fifteen years ago.
The brass (once fired)and factory bullets I use now are probably 30 years old.
The powder is only about 3 years old but a lot cheaper than current...
I once shot and recovered a 100 lb doe, double lung, with a .308 at 35 yards.
I was by myself so there is no one to corroborate this. You will have to trust me.
Your "buddy's" comments and actions would only impress non-gun people.
I guess there are worse hobbies for him to wanabe.
He could waste all of his time and money donating to the Bradys.
Don't be bashful about reminding anyone about the Four Rules.
Live and let Bull$#!t.
I would take a 30-06 case cut it down to a 308 length, then neck the shorter case to .308. Then find some 308 bullets instead of 30-06 bullets. and there you have it. 7.62 bullets might work also.
The difference between the two rounds is 100 fps.
My son and I are going tomorrow to shoot:
2nd gen Colt in 45 LC reloads for accuracy,
Original Win '73 in 38-40,
Shiloh Sharps in 45-70, light loads for accuracy,
Browning BPCR in 45-70 same as above,
762 shooter
44-77 sharps
made from 43 spanish brass
405 grain boolit
paper
beeswax/olive oil wafer
cardboard
black powder.
Fired in Sharps 1874 sporter half round/half octagon barrel.
Paper patched 45-70's are cool too:neener:.
I think it was a sat nite live skit when they were interviewing charles manson and he said "Am I crazy or is it hot in here".
Yes and yes.
You were paranoid if nothing happened.
You were prepared if something did.
Some people can be "into" guns but have never had someone explain the FOUR or proper handling procedures. I wonder how some of us would have started out if we had been on our own and had to learn gun safety and handling by watching The Terminator, or Scarface or playing Asteroids. We take for...
I think that the size of the powder grains would be a big factor in consistency.
I can reduce the volume of a given weight of say FFg black powder by drop tube or vibration, due to the air spaces between the grains.
I have noticed that the first few throws of a powder measure after sitting...
