Is my son's used Wxby rifle a 300 Winmag or 300 Wxby Mag?

Saw this at the range once. A guy shooting a .300 Weatherby couldn't figure out why his groups were so bad until the rangemaster showed him a piece of brass that came out of his gun. He was shooting .300 Win Mag ammo in his .300 Weatherby Mag rifle. The guy said he just went to the gun shop...

    Missouri Bullet order

I would like the code as well, please. I use the hardcast "Keith-style" for my .44 special and plan to use the same when I get my .44 magnum. Thank you in advance.

The Remarkable Number of Factors Impacting Gun Prices

FYI Ruger is planning to open another factory to help meet demand http://www.nhbr.com/May-3-2013/Ruger-looks-to-open-a-third-gun-plant-but-not-in-NH/ BTW I ordered a .44 special Blackhawk last month and got it two weeks ago. Looks great and shoots like a dream :D

    ROA problem...

When I first started thinking about buying cap and ball revolvers, I wasn't interested in the ROA either. A kind and generous friend brought out a half-dozen Italian replicas for me to try out, as well as his ROA. After I shot his ROA I knew I had to have one. :)

    ROA problem...

So it's a blued model? Congrats! Aren't you glad you decided to shoot it?

    The RUGER OLD ARMY Club

You don't even have to be shooting it to attract attention. The way my favorite outdoor range is set up, you load the c&b revolver on the back bench (well, everything except the percussion cap) and then move to the front bench to cap the gun and shoot it. As you guys know, you spend more time...

    The RUGER OLD ARMY Club

Oh, sweet! For some reason, they only made the bi-centennial model for one year ;) Anyways, I took my Old Army out for another range trip and caught the attention of a nice family (father, mother, son, and daughter) so I gave them a quick lesson on cap and ball revolvers and they all got to...

    The RUGER OLD ARMY Club

Here's my blued Ruger Old Army with 7.5" barrel and adjustable sights. I think it was made in 1982 based on the serial number and I picked it up late last year. Previous owner(s) mostly took good care of it, except they put a few dings in the frame apparently trying to unscrew the latch that...

Ruger will contact your reps. for you

Yes, Bill was a traitor. But he's not alive anymore so it's kinda hard to do him any harm. As for the company, if this is their way of trying to make amends, I think it's a good start. I try to always give people and companies the opportunity to make amends.

    Shootin' Josey Wales Style

According to their website, Uberti's Dragoon weights 4.1 lbs and their Walker weights 4.5 lbs. All I know is the Walker is a beast.

    Shootin' Josey Wales Style

First BP revolver I ever shot was a replica Walker and you can't help but notice the enormous size and balance (or lack thereof). I would definately have trouble shooting one in each hand! Thanks for the video :D

Going to stop posting videos to the board

Well, if you do not feel comfortable posting links then I suppose I should not insist that you continue. I've watched several dozen of your videos and enjoyed each one - yours are definately a cut above the other videos available when I check out youtube for anything related to cap & ball or...

Please explain ring and red handle on Schmidt Rubin 1911 Carbine 7.5X55 K31

The red knob that looks like a keg is the bolt handle. You pull it straight back and push it straight forward to work the action. It's just like a regular turnbolt without the turning. The round ring in the back is the safety. You pull back and rotate clockwise to engage the safety. To take...

BP pistol shooting in Los Angeles?

BTW, if you are shooting cap and ball at Angeles, you have to do all of the loading except priming at the back bench. So, you have to be at the back bench when you measure and pour the powder, load the wad (if you are using a wad), seat the bullet, and grease over the balls (if you are using...

BP pistol shooting in Los Angeles?

Sorry, I haven't seen anyone with baggy pants shooting BP sideways but it seems about once a month some Civil War guys show up and those guys are good ambassadors for the shooting sports. I think they usually show up on a Sunday but I don't know which one. Anyways, if you see them, ask them...

BP pistol shooting in Los Angeles?

I don't know of any clubs but a good place to shoot BP pistols is Angeles Shooting Range in Sylmar. They have a steel pistol gallery with targets at 35, 50, 60, and 100 yards. They also sell Goex in the office so you can get the real stuff right there. http://www.angelesranges.com/ from...
