Anyone have experiance with the Primary Arms 4-14x44 FFP scopes?

I have mine in an Aero 1 Piece cantilever mount. I didn't care about QD on this one and was trying to keep it not heavy (as opposed to "light" which wasn't happening) If I wanted a QD mount I usually source American Defense. Good quality to price ratio. I like one piece mounts on AR's...

Anyone have experiance with the Primary Arms 4-14x44 FFP scopes?

I've got one on an AR-10. Kinda big, yeah. I really like the ACSS reticle but it can be busy if you aren't using the features. Good glass. Not US Optics or Nightforce good, but easily as good as any scope I have under $1000. Mine tracks fine, but as ATCDocktor said the clicks are a...

OWB - Snaps, Clips, Loops or.........

I have a CQC-S for a 4.25" 1911 and a UBG Regulator for a Sig 229. Both are snap type holsters, and they conceal fine. They hold the gun as close or closer to the body than any of my OWB Kydex or Hybrid holsters. (Mech-Tech, Blackpoint, or Blade-tech) Pretty easy on and easy off too. I'm a...

    80% oops, subsurface broken bit

:what: Yeah it would seem you got a bad one. If I found a large void in my "forged" lower while machining I would really start to wonder whether there were more in area's I hadn't removed. FWIW, I've never ran across a void in a forged aluminum 80% lower.

The 80% Easy Peasy EP lower.

I've got a couple of poly 80% lowers. A polymer 80, had an EP*, and 3 James Madison Tactical's. For my time, the JMT's are one of the nicer poly lowers out there. They beef up the buffer attachment and front pivot pin, their poly machines well with little to no flash, and nice round holes...

    UBG Holsters report

I like to let people know when a business does right by me, especially as the internet seems to be full of negative reviews. I got to the point this summer where I was confident enough in my Sig 229 that I wanted to carry it, and started looking for a new holster. I usually grab a cheap kydex...

    FMK Lowers - Any Good?

I have four composite lowers that I made from 80%'s. I am one of the few on the internet that like plastic AR lowers. FWIW I have several thousand rounds through plastic AR lowers. Don't buy that. Plastic (even good plastic) and aluminum have different strength characteristics. For a...

Would appreciate your opinions on this FN Hi Power ( NE )

That's one of the Israeli Surplus HP's that's come in to the country in the last couple years. Many of those were rode hard and put away wet. That particular one looks OK, not great. For ~$400 I would probably risk it. But I would do so knowing it might need some parts, some adjusting, and/or...

What (if any) are my options?

I have Crimson Trace's on my Sig 2022. Shown here with a 229: I would call it more mid-size then small, but it's ~close~ to a G19. There's also the 228/229 route. (I'm a huge fan of that size 9mm, hammer fired, DA/SA for carry.) Honestly, cruising through CT's website that's about it.

    Sig P229 vs. P226

I found my 228 to be more comfortable to carry and the same or a tic better to shoot than my 226. My 229 isn't the same series, so harder to compare, but I REALLY like my 229 Legion.

That is a Guntec USA 15" Narrow Profile Key Mod Handguard. ETA: That's also a pretty dang decent sale MAS is having on them...

    CZ P-09: Home Defense?

A P-09 would be pretty good at that role. Like others I encourage you to hold and or shoot it first, as I also just didn't really like the grip. I have an FNX-9 filling that role, and it seems to do so really well, at a slightly better price point, with slightly less ammo. Just another one to...

    Absolutely ridiculous .....no recoil spring

For future reference Numrich is a good place to go for kinda off the wall parts. https://www.gunpartscorp.com/Manufacturers/Colt-33188/AutoPistols-35748/Defender-34900.htm They have both the recoil springs you need as well.

ar15 buffer tube cheek weld pad for scope parallax?

It looks like if you put their Buffer Tube Cover on then you can use any of the CAA saddles or cheek risers. Some variation on those should fix your cheek rest issue. The saddle if you just want the buffer area put back to where it would be on an A2 stock.

Red dot sights for a pistol

Any sight with a Picatinny mount base. Red Dot's with that base are between $60 and $600 or so. I would avoid that, because it'll add a bit of bulk to the whole thing. What Wally was referring to is something like this. You remove the rear sight, drift the mount in and screw down the...

Red dot sights for a pistol

There are several mounts that clamp to the accessory 1913 rail and come up over the slide. Here's the first one Google gave me: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/669021/fab-defense-universal-picatinny-scope-mount-for-pistols-with-accessory-rails Back when red dots were bigger, and...

    Core ?

Very much meh. Kinda standard entry level parts slapped together and sold. Certainly not worth the $825 MSRP, but probably not bad at about $550-$600.

    AR build parties

I have a standing offer to lend tools and experience to anyone in the Tampa Bay area that want's to assemble an AR. Doesn't need to be a "party". Let your friends know, there's always someone that wants a new rifle.

    EOTech/Maginifier/Scope for Tavor or x95

A good illuminated reticle let's the scope fake being a red dot on 1 power. Helps get back some of the close range speed you lose by looking through a tube. I think it's an important part of the package to make the scope versatile .
