The best I've got is a couple of 3" groups at 100 yards using my 1942 Springfield M1. It was using M2 ball from the Western Cartridge Corporation - headstamped WCC 1953.

Where I grew up there were metalic swastika medallions on the sidewalks in our town. It was a masonary company's logo from the 1920's or so and has the name and adress and specialities on the arm of the symbol.
Betcha they changed the symbol sometime in the late 1930's . . .
Regarding the crime rates, they are, as you would surmise, in almost perfect inverse proportion to the gun owning citizens of each municipality. Go figure. :rolleyes:
