Kahr PM9 - Review (Pic heavy)

Great review Great, thoughtful review, with great reference pictures. Around 2 years ago, I spent a lot of time deciding on a pocket pistol, and chose the PM9. It's been a great gun. Thanks for taking the time to make a quality post.

    P22 or Buckmark?

Buckmark, no doubt Since you've already handled them and decided on 2, I'll skip the obligatory, "test them out first" mantra. I think you've already answered this question yourself. You already have multiple doubts about the P22 (and say you like everything about the Buckmark), and are...

How much for trade in value?

Thanks for the info guys. I'd considered putting them up here, and likely will now. I was basically considering the easy way out. I'll have to drive an hour or so to Houston to do a FTF, so I was just hoping to get something close to reasonable here. I doubt that will happen.

How much for trade in value?

College Station, TX - About 1.5 hours north of Houston. Should of put that in there in the first place, eh?

How much for trade in value?

I'm considering trading in or selling my Saiga .223 and Marlin 795. Obviously neither are high end rifles, retailing at ~ $300 and $100 new. Mine are in like new condition, with maybe 150 rounds through each. How much could I expect a fair gun shop to give me in trade in value or cash? I...

thinking of trading my j-frame in for a kahr. thoughts?

My PM9 has been flawless through probably 500 rounds. Put one of the Hogue Universal Jr's on it. Makes the grip much nicer without adding bulk.

Sounds like the $300 NRA Lifetime Membership referral program is active

I believe it's been active since around Christmas, but I just heard about it again. It sounds like it expires soon... Posted from another forum: I've read in some places, all you need is the NRA # and name of a life member to get the referral. I've read in others that you need the #...

    Winchester or Cannon RSC?

As always, your expertise is much appreciated. I've followed your threads for years. If I was in the market for an actual safe, I'd already be sending my business your way. Unfortunately, I can't do that kind of investment right now. I'll settle for the best RSC in my price range for now...

    Winchester or Cannon RSC?

I have read in quite a few places that Granite is a Fort Worth, TX based company, and I've seen American made splashed around a lot concerning them. Are some "Granite" safes American made and some Chinese, or are they all Chinese imports? What's the warranty like? I haven't seen much info on...

    Winchester or Cannon RSC?

I'm buying either a Winchester RSC (Sam's Club special) or the 24 gun Cannon sold at Academy. I know people like the Winchester, in general. People seem to like the Cannon as well. The Winchester is $645.00, sold at Sams Club...

    Would you CZ P01

The P-01 is a fantastic gun. Anybody who tries mine on for size, always has one question afterwards. How much does it cost? Everyone loves the ergonomics and accuracy. Cleaning is very comparable to the Glock. Instead of the "takedown tabs" the Glock has, you just pull the slide release...

Are Saiga's going down in price.

The $339 price isn't bad. For the last 6 months before the election, .223 and 7.62 were going for $319+. The $250 price point was over a year before the election, and I believe they raised the prices, pre-panic. I don't know that they'll go sub-300 again any time soon.

    Mossberg purchase

I do have one more question. With the combo I bought, will I have the junk action slide that needs to be replaced? I think the plastic Big 5 combo has the integrated piece that eventually has to be replaced, but I believe this combo comes with the good one. I assume this one comes with...

    Mossberg purchase

Haven't owned shotguns before, but have handled a good number of friend's shotguns. I slightly prefer the Mossberg's handling over the 870. I ended up purchasing this instead of what I originally asked about...

    Mossberg purchase

I did want to have the option of running slugs for hunting. You'll have to excuse my lack of shotgun knowledge. I own rifles and handguns, but this will be my first shotgun. With the 18.5 being cylinder, will I be able to shoot slugs? I don't believe cylinder is the same thing as smooth...

    Mossberg purchase

I'm considering getting the Mossberg, 2 barrel combo that Big 5 is always running. I think it comes with an 18.5 inch barrel and 26 inch barrel. I have a couple of questions. For reference, I think they normally run this setup for $279.99. Is this just a standard Mossberg 500/500a? Is...

Dixie National Forest / Duck Creek, Utah / Zion - Shooting OK?

Hello all, I'll be visiting the Duck Creek area in Utah, a couple of times this year. I believe it is completely inside the Dixie National Forest. I have done a little internet research, and it looks like shooting sports are ok as long as you follow a few normal rules. I plan to call Dixie...

    Walmart Ammo

I have a number of Walmarts in the general areas of town I have business in. One of them had nothing in 9, 40, 45, or 22...just a few stray boxes in 357 or rifle ammo, the other was stocked to the brim. Plenty of Remington/Winchester/Federal bulk .22 boxes. Plenty of WWB, Remington, and...
