    Grail gun happiness

I don't think I have ever seen cylinder walls that thick.

    A Sad Mdl. 19

There is just something about a 4" Model 19 that just looks right. I have 3 Model 19s, but none with a 4" barrel. Always on the lookout for one. You would have to have worn a ski mask to get a better deal.

    380 Day

The G42 has been available for a much longer time than the G28. I have never even seen one of the G28s yet. The G42 is a great shooting and easy carrying little gun. I often carry it when I go for my morning walks.

38 Special in a strong revolver

Colt okayed the use of the 38/44 heavy 38 special load in the Official Police Models. There are still a number of these around, but the price is creeping up. Buffalo Bore has a load that matches that old heavy load. That loads creeps into lower end .357 territory.

    I need a .40 S&W - Sig 229 (just thoughts)? or a Glock 23

I have both, I use the Sig for my nightstand gun. I often carry the Glock in the winter. If I could only keep one, it would be the Glock. If I had to make a head shot at 25 yards, it would be the Sig hands down.

    22lr carry for defense??

The question was, could the .22 be carried as a self defense option. Some people that know quite a bit about defensive tactics didn't think the .22 was ridiculous. I don't believe that anyone was arguing that it was the best option. I believe the ability to make accurate hits is more...

    22lr carry for defense??

The Israeli Mossad's use of .22 makes for some very interesting reading.

    Your 'Rodney Dangerfield' guns.

I don't know what that rifle is, but that is one of the best looking stocks I have ever seen.

    Compact 20 ga

Look around and see if you can find a Remington 1100 LT. I have one that I bought in the 1980s. I was doing a lot of bird hunting then and used a SXS in 20 g. but I carried the 1100 as a back up and a loaner. They have a very short LOP. I would post a picture, but my sister has it as a...

Smith and Wesson Pre model 28

Go over to the S&W Forum and ask questions and post pictures. They have guys over there that can tell you what the weather was like the day your revolver was made. You got a smoking good deal.

Price check on a 1975 Colt Detective 38 special

They have a different operation, that is much more robust. Easier to work on. If an older Colt goes out of time, it is difficult to find a gunsmith that will work on them. You can find a gunsmith in most towns that can work on an S&W or Ruger. Not so for an older model Colt.

Price check on a 1975 Colt Detective 38 special

They are very nice little revolvers, but if you really want a shooter, the new SS models are better. I wish I had bought one of those "Night Cobra" models when CDNN had them for a very good price.

James Bond and his Walther PPK

I also saw that, but over the years I have seen several sources list the firearm as a Walther. I have seen it mention a both a PP and a PPK.

James Bond and his Walther PPK

I think the gun that Hitler committed suicide with was a PPK in 32 ACP.

Henry Long Ranger in 308...........anyone have one that groups???

I would borrow another scope and give it a try. If that failed, I would be on the phone to Henry.

James Bond and his Walther PPK

In Europe, the PPK was very popular in 32 ACP. I have a PPK and a PPK/S, both in .380, I would like to find one in 32 ACP, that I could afford.

    Sneaky Pete holster

I have a Taurus TCP that came with a "Sneaky Pete" type holster. It just takes a little more time to get it out of the holster. Takes about as much time as a fanny pack. Comfortable way to carry, just don't get in a hurry when you want to present your gun.

    9mm +P+ Federal (9bple)

This is a terrific deal on some very good ammo. I just checked my history and the last time I bought that ammo was in 01/06/15 from SGAmmo and pd $.32 per round at that time. Still have 200 rounds from that case. There may be better loads out now, but you will pay over 36 cents per round...
