Here ya go....

Randy does great work, is reasonably priced, and has good turn around time. I highly recommend his work.
Go over to the forums on Snipershide.com, and do a search in the rifle section for HateCa. You will see a lot of his work there. He's...
I think you're on the right track by cleaning the hole and screws, and using the blue Loctite.
I used the green Loctite on the wrong application; that stuff needed a major amount of heat to seperate the two parts I used it on.
Good luck.
I've also used a metric allen wrench of the next size up from the standard allen wrench you used originally. Just tap it in lightly with a small hammer. It may work especially if there's still a hex left in the screw. Good luck.
AS long as you meet all of the other requirements, you can use your 03 FFL instead of fullfilling your shooting requirement. At least that's what the CMP says on their website.
Oh yeah, I'm planning on getting an 03A3 because I prefer the sights better than those on the 03. Good luck!
How different is the bolt handle attachment compared to the Mod. 700? If it's attached in the same manner as the Mod. 700, then you could have HD Rifle perform their Bolt Hanle Modification. Check out HD Rifles .
If the Mod. 788 bolt is different, maybe something similar could still be done...
Prayers sent. Keep strong for your Family. I know our crosses can be hard to bear sometimes, but Love, Faith, and Hope will help lighten the load. Good luck to you and your Family.
Three things....
1. Mini 14 is a great plinker... Minute of Beer Can.
2. Use the right tool for the job.
3. Don't try to reinvent the wheel.
I'd just search for a deal on a .223 Bolt Action, or Single Shot. Good luck.
"Buy a bolt buffer.. Eases the recoil"
Oh Crap! I think my M1A is broken... I never felt any noticable recoil, neither did my 12 yr. old nephew. I better have it checked out! ;)
Here's an alternative to the slotted screws.
Socket Head Triggerguard Screws
I doubt you'll be able to find these at any hardware stores. Good luck!
Mauser Triggerguard Screws are 1/4"x22 thread size, and are available through Brownells.
Forster Slotted Head Triggerguard Screws
I hope this helps.
Sorry gents, but the place I think you're referring to on the Cuesta Grade has been closed for several years now. They probably closed it because of too much trash & debris.
Sgt Stevo: How many years ago did you shoot up on the Grade?
Maybe something out near Pozo or Turkey Flats area...
