    Black powder flint lock

It's packed away in a box. I know it's a little pricey for a book but I needed it at the time.

    Thoughts on a complete rewrite...

Being "reasonable" got us the gun control acts on 1934, 1968, 1994 and something like other 50,000 federal, state and local laws infringing on RKBA. It's well past time to fight dirty. Use the same tactics against the grabbers that they use on us.

Flayderman's Guide to Antique American Firearms and Their Values would be a good start. (I'm assuming it's an antique - if not, a guide on modern BP firearms)

Do you make dangerous mistakes when shooting or handling you pistols?

Good judgment comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement. We've all made mistakes at some point in our lives. Those of us that learned from them are still around, mostly.

Creative way to justify gun purchases to a spouse

Not guns, but many years back I had the opportunity to get a free Jeep, which my wife said no to. Well I got it anyway and hid it in the garage. My wife found it when she went to the garage to hide some china she'd bought on the sly. I laughed. She laughed. Alexa laughed...

Rockland County NY Friends of NRA Dinner under attack.

Mothers Demand Action recently ran a PR event in my home town at the local High School. Despite the fact that the event technically violated the charter under which the school was allowed to rent out the auditorium, they did anyway. It might be a useful strategy to find public venues that have...

I've only sold a couple and regret each one. It's like selling a child ;)

Did you hit a point where aquiring new guns wasn't that much of a priority anymore?

More selective, yes. But there is ALWAYS another gun that needs to be bought.

    Leather Gun Belt

I have a 1 1/2" belt in 10/12 oz leather I bought from Andy Langlois ([email protected]). A great, heavy belt around 18 mos old with no sign of wearing out. I highly recommend the heavier strap if you're hanging equipment on it. Andy was very responsive in email and handled a custom holster...

What Is Hanging Off Of This 1911's Muzzle?

She has MASSIVE hands, if that is a full size 1911.

Good News: Defense bill has 1911's transferring to the CMP

I have a 1945 Remington and it is very reliable and smooth. Feed it well and use modern mags and it will poke holes in targets all day long. My gorilla hands would find most modern pistols tiny and awkward. I probably won't buy one of the CMP models when they are available but I love the 1911 I...

    10-22 question

I have two of the barrel band model, slightly modified with sling, Volquartsen auto bolt release and Tech Sights Aperture sights. They're both reliable and accurate. And fun / cheap to shoot.
