Which combination of FIVE auto loaders would you pick?

    1- G26 2- DW CBOB 3- Ruger MkII 4- CZ97 5- CZ75 Compact

    Anyone Reload .41 Magnum?

I get 1350fps out of my 5.5" Bisley Blackhawk with CCI LPPs & 18.2gr of 2400 under a Dardas 215gr "Keith". I prefer 17.5gr for 1310fps for less sturm & drang, but equal accuracy. I'm going to play with some RimRock 230gr & 265gr before long, as well as work up some loads with Unique.

    J Frame Pain Management

I'm with AK103. The Pachmayr Compaqs were a decent stop-gap measure, but my solution was simply to replace the 442 with a G26.

Who carries a Sig 232? Likes? Dislikes?

A slide release & a different mag release would be cool. Loved my 230, but was too big for CC, given it was only a .380. Only beef I ever had was terrible slide bite with the stock grips. No prob with the Hogues, tho.

    41 magnum bullets

Definitely try cast. I use Dardas 215gr LSWCs at .411 in my Bisley Blackhawk. Very accurate & pushing them to 1350fps w/17.5gr 2400, I get no leading. I want to try some Rimrock Bullets 230gr LSWC & 265gr WFN with Unique for a heavier/slower hunting round.

Working up a .45 ACP load

My 1911s love 230gr LRNs over 4.8gr of W231. I've loaded a batch of Berry's plated 200gr SWC over 4.8, 5.1 & 5.6gr of W231, tho no chance to check 'em out yet.

    J Frame Pain Management

Try a Pachmayr Compac grip. Marginally larger, much more comfortable. Try shoot hot 158gr .357s out of a VZ-gripped 340. NO fun. Felt like catching a MLB fastball with no mitt.

    Cottonmouth Vs Kel Tec

Any reason folks don't eat other types of snakes? I've eaten rattlesnake & loved it; just curious why no mention of others? Seems those thick-bodied cottonmouths would have a decent amount of meat on 'em.

    1911s suck (not my article)

The guys at the pointy end of the spear have a vested interest in coming back home. If they're confident that the 1911 will help make that happen who are any of us to disagree? IF a 1911 is built to John Moses Browning's specs, it will run. Period. It's when they're improved upon that issues...

Is the DW Valor really worth the money?

Can't speak to the Valor, but do have both a CBOB & a PM-7. Both are amazing guns & the CBOB is just magical in my hands. Absolute laser beam. Both are fitted very tightly, but I've gone over 1000 rds w/o cleaning the CBOB & it has never had a malfunction that wasn't due to a glitch with my...

Acquiring 10 Revolvers in a Month

Yer screwed now. Them single actions mysteriously seem to multiply. If'n ya get the chance, pick up the Blackhawk .45 convertible. .45ACP'll be a pussycat & .45LC is just FUN. Oh yeah. I don't see any .41Mags in yer collection.....

    45 Colt Loads

My bud runs LilGun under a 260gr WFN, for 1270fps out of a 4 5/8" BH. Very fun to shoot.

Most relaxing, enjoyable hunts in North America.

Squirrel hunting. Nothing like a day, wanderin' the woods with a .22 for .410, gathering the fixin's for some tasty fried tree rat. Bird hunting, on the other hand, is NO way, shape or form relaxing. I'm right-handed, left eye dominant & absolutely can not shoot lefty. That said, bird hunting...

    First post and new Blackhawk

I reload my .41 for right at $8.75/50 rounds ($18.75/50 with new Starline brass), using 17.5gr of 2400 under Dardas 215gr LSWC/Keith.

    Beyond the .357

It's a fun round. If you have Unique & 2400 on hand, you can load up anything from plinking rounds to full-house hunting rounds. If you don't mind shooting cast bullets, components aren't any more expensive than any other round. Factory ammo is a different story. I'm a .41 newb, but I'm sure...

WAS going to get a Shield until I held on and operated it.

SR9C & G26 are both excellent choices. Ended up with a G26, but love both. For reference, I felt the the G36 was too thin, but the SR9C is just right. G26 is a chubby little monkey, but I've got meathooks, so it's all good.

    Beyond the .357

I'm a .41Mag fan, so that gets my vote. Yes, ya really need to reload for it, but is a VERY versatile round. 170, 180, 200, 210, 215, 220, 230, 240, 265gr bullets are all available. .44Mag is (.19") bigger & has heavier bullets available, but if I were wanting to launch the big boys, the...

    Grips for Buckmark?

The wood grips off the Buckmark "rifle" fit the URX frame, but are a bit thin for my meathooks.

    41 mag 2400 load

18.2gr under a Dardas 215gr Keith run 1350 outta my 5.5" Bisley Blackhawk.

    Buckmark and Ammo

Mine sometimes chokes on Fed Auto Match- failure to extract. Runs fine on blue or red Fed bulk, tho.
