GunDepot.net -- anyone buy from here?

Good to know that the online merchandise isn't necessarily in stock. I'm looking at one item they have listed, which will let me add the item to my cart and proceed with checkout. If it's not in stock, then what? I'm guessing I would get put on a backorder list and who knows when I'd get my...

Has anyone had experience with GunDepot.net? I googled around for feedback but couldn't find anything.

Has anyone IDed the handguns used on 24?

Why important? So, no doubt this is not "important", per se. But, it's alright to just relax and see if we can ID a diverse cast of guns on a really (IMO) awesome series. Let's justify the importance of this by saying that we're honing our ability to identify a firearm by sight, thereby...

Has anyone IDed the handguns used on 24?

llink to 24 guns In that link above, one of the photos shows Jack with what is clearly a P229, but the footnote on the picture says it's a P228... ...to me, so far this season it looks like Jack mostly has an H&K USP. The list for Season 7 in the above link failed to mention what I thought...

    Better than a fanny pack...

Yes, I always wear this thing diagonally across my torso. Because of the way that it's cut, it doesn't really hang off the shoulder - the strap goes from the top of the bag to the bottom corner of the bag, so it cants a little. Also it's asymetrical, so it doesn't balance well on just one...

    Better than a fanny pack...

I wear mine more to the side, under my arm. If it's stuffed full, it may fit better on the back, but otherwise, I keep it off my back. Maybe it does look awkward that way, who knows? If someone searched me though, they'd just find my sandwich for the time being. I like the messenger bag idea...

    Better than a fanny pack...

Advantage over a fanny pack Tactically, no. But, a lot of people who would agree that the fanny pack is technically very handy, would not agree with the "look" of the fanny pack. Frankly, the fanny pack is outdated (fashion-wise) by about 15 years. This bag "looks" more updated and is pretty...

    Better than a fanny pack...

So, I bought one of these last summer, and I'm wondering if anyone ever uses this, or something similar, to pack a pistol around. I use mine everyday to carry random stuff and lunch to work. It's an Eddie Bauer Cross-body Bag. I think it kicks the fanny pack's fanny, and looks pretty stylish...

    Carry advice...Sig P229?

Marcus (or anyone), you mentioned that you preferto carry the P239. I rented one at the range last Saturday, and it's a great hangun! I rented it mostly to compare to my P229 in terms of size. I shot the two side-by-side and visually compared. The P239 didn't seem much smaller, so I wasn't...

    Carry advice...Sig P229?

Does anyone carry a Sig P229 that could shed some light on how easy or difficult it is? I have one in 9mm, and I want to start carrying (have license, but haven't yet carried). If it's not a good gun to carry, I'll prob. buy a new one (thinking about a Kahr PM9). If you do carry this Sig...
