I have reached a point where I have too many guns to fit in my 14 gun Sentry Safe and need to buy something larger.
Was at Gander Mountain last night looking at their rather large collection.
Noticed a "Timber Ridge" 23 gun safe that I am told is made by the Liberty Safe company. Does...
Thanks guys...
Well thanks guys for your input. You pretty much convinced me of the worth of this shotgun....so I went and picked it up this evening.
A beautiful gun...can't wait to go shoot it. Got to work Saturday but hopefully can get to the range on Sunday to shoot some clays. Boys...
I am looking at a Browning Citori over / under shotgun. Would appreciate any input as to value as well as your experience with this model or Citori shotguns in general.
Details:
The shotgun is a Browning Citori, Skeet model, made in Japan in the early to mid 90's.
Has 28 inch barrels...
.22LR Rifle?
The Ruger 10/22 is a neat gun to shoot varmints with and just plink with too. I have two of them and enjoy them, but if you are teaching kids and wife to shoot, get a bolt action .22LR.
I have a CZ 452 with the beechwood stock and schnabel forend that I picked up from my FFL...
I just shot my first IDPA competition this afternoon. In one of the scenarios, they had us shooting at approximately 50 feet at three cardboard targets (two shots each) to start and then run up etc....
Last week I shot a similar match called DSM (very close to IDPA and I have shot a number...
Capt Happypants
Thanks for the insight. Not sure it makes a whole lot of sense...ie the flash suppressor being illegal but at least I understand the difference......and it further confirms my belief...politicians are either idiots, liars or lying idiots.
By the way...Happypants...
Woops!
My mistake...you are right. It is a muzzle break. Someday I will learn the difference. The gun is "post ban"
Actually, could someone enlighten me re the difference between a muzzle break and a flash suppressor? And why is one banned and the other not?

I have a good friend who has offered to sell me his AR15 which is a Bushmaster xm15-e2s, .223 cal., 16" barrel w/flash supressor in approximately 95% condition. Probably has only a few hundred rounds through it.
My friend had bartered for it a couple years back...since he did not pay cash...

If you are looking at the ATN, you might want to check out the HAKKO reflex sight.

.308 Bolt action rifle...?
I have the Rem 700 LTR and absolutely love it. Put a Weaver V16 on it and a Timney trigger and am shooting less than 1/2MOA (meaning less than 1/2" groups at 100 yards).
Probably overkill for normal hunting but I really like the precision this rifle affords. My...
I am in the market for a decent shooting mat for use in practicing my long range shooting skills at the range. Am considering the Galati Int shooting mat. Anyone have any experience with this mat OR anyone have a better suggestion?
I am not in LE or Military but want something that is...

You are my kinda guy...what a role model.
The way I look at it, if I don't spend the $$ on guns 'n stuff, my wife will just buy more furniture (and then I gotta get a bigger house....)

WOLF Ammo
Actually I have the same question regarding Wolf Ammo as I am wondering if the steel case (as opposed to brass case) will damage my AR15 in any way?
I don't reload and expect to do a lot of shooting this spring with the AR.........and I like the price of WOLF ammo. Don't want to...
A friend of mine is selling his 98% (my guess) barely used Remington 12 Gauge Peerless over/under shotgun. It has a bunch of chokes (three came with the gun plus he is adding a couple other Rem chokes). The barrel length is 28 inches. He is looking for $895 (he thinks it is worth $995).
Am...

Why did you choose to mount a model 551 Eo-tech on you AR as opposed to a reflex site like a Hakko or ATN or even a Trijicon Reflex?
I am trying to decide on the proper optics for a carbine AR to use in 3 gun competition and for self defense.

Medic
I have owned a Remington 700P LTR in .308 for nearly a year now and I absolutely love it. I had the trigger replaced with a Timney set at 1.75 lbs, have added a Weaver V16 scope and a Harris bipod.
The thing shoots sweet...am shooting 1/2 inch groups at 100 yards with match ammo...and...

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate experiences. Ouch!
That had to hurt. I think that's why God created "synthetic" stocks!
:D
Thanks guys for the insight! Have a great New Year!!
