All I see the article doing is stating that the news coverage of these incidents is "rewarding bad behaviour." You may not see it as such, after all who wants their name to become synonymous with a mass killing? But some crazy people out there don't need a big push to commit an act like this...
The very first gun I ever bought was from Fast Cash Pawn at a gunshow here in Columbia, it saddens me to hear this news. But I'm glad that cretin was caught and hopefully he won't get out of prison ever again.

I'm sorry but you all are giving Hahn way too much credit and leniency. It's not like he walked down to the police station and handed the card in himself. When he was finally arrested for burglary, the police didn't even know he was the one who tipped them off! There was really very little...
That's good to hear. I ordered an accessory rail for my HK USC from them a while back. I was a little worried ordering from them myself because their website looked a little bit sketchy to me, but I had no problems at all. Pretty fast delivery and part was high quality.

There may not be "gun shops" as such everywhere, but that doesn't mean there aren't places that sell guns--like pawn shops. Around here pawn shops are always concentrated in the lower income areas. No big surprise there, huh? And almost all of them have guns for sale.
As to the NAACP thing...
In my experience and in this order:
1. Sig P225
2. S&W 39
3. Walther P99
4. 1911
5. Sig P228
Of course, I'm willing to entertain the idea that there are plenty of better feeling pistols out there that I haven't fired, but they'd have to be very good to beat the first three here.

I don't know if this is the same guy, but I did a google search and found this link. Take a look at number 4 on this list.

It's the SC Dept. of Probation, Parole, and Pardon...
I read Starship Troopers first and loved it. Then I tried The Cat Who Walks Through Walls and lost interest a little over halfway through. Currently reading Time Enough For Love and it's a bit easier to get through because of all the different approaches in telling the story, but the dialogue...
So what does eating pork have to do with dropping coins in a ceramic pig? Did they think about this at all?
This is the thing that annoys me to no end. Maybe, just maybe if someone is actually offended, you could let them tell you so before doing something this ludicrous! I wonder how many...
Unbelievable! That's so blatant I almost want to give them the benefit of the doubt and blame it on poor information. There's no way they could be stupid enough to do that on purpose, is there?
Rick
I loved the one where they were trying to disprove the exploding scuba tank in the movie Jaws. Adam was sure there was no way that a .30-06 could penetrate through the bottom (where it's the thickest) of an aluminum scuba tank.
Rick
What is with that no abbreviations thing, anyway? I've only had one or two dealers tell me that, but man it's a hassle trying to write everything out.

In 9mm I would go with a Sig P226, P228, or a Walther P99.
I've fired three different .40S&W's and didn't like any of them, so I have no idea. I guess a Sig P226 in .40S&W would be okay.
In .45ACP I would pick a Sig P220ST or P220 if weight is an issue.
Rick
Maybe Rotton Robbie had a smaller supply of gasoline on hand due to the fact that they are as you said, "always cheaper" and had been selling their supply faster than the 76. Supply and demand again. Of course, they could just be gouging for that extra 4 cents.
