Hello All: I recently purchased a Zastave M85 in 7.62x39 with a full mannlicher stock. The finish on the stock, to say the least, is less than
well done and I'd like to do a hand rubbed oil finish on it to bring out the grain. Is there anything I should be particularly careful of when...

Thanks everybody...I've e-mailed and attached the photos to the guy
in Norway who had the website with the photos. I'll also chech the
link that was recently posted. Thanks again for your interest and input.

Here's a link to Photobucket...should be 6 photos.

I took some fairly good photos but for some reason I'm unable to upload them to this site. I keep getting a message about a "security key".
If someone sends me their e-mail and they haven't had problems uploading photos, I'll send the photos and they can upload them for the interested...
I'm trying to determine the origin, age and possible value of what appears to be a Jaeger rifle. I was unable to attach photos, but it is 42" LOA, and appears to be about .70 caliber. It has a bayonet lug and is a caplock.
There are several stamps on the rifle and some type of script initials...
I just ordered the M85 in full Mannlicher configuration. It won't be in for about 3 weeks, but I'll send a range report after the holidays. I've already
got the Z5 (.22 WMR), and found the only problem being a minor magazine
issue which has been widely reported.
The new EAA catalog shows the single-shot, break open hunting rifle.
I contacted them by e-mail and was told they are in stock and available
through wholesalers. Anyone out there have any experience with them?
I believe Remington sold them a few years back as Spartans.
Thanks.
A close friend of mine just showed me a revlover that has been in his family
for a long time...It's a U.S. Revolver Co., hammerless .38 S&W. It's in
pristine condition, serial # B5284. Anyone know if there is any interest in
the low-end revolvers? Any additional information would be...
Thanks for the input so far, "mykeal's" response has piqued my curiosity.
I just checked the barrel and the number is 2882, any idea when it might
have been manufactured?
Thanks.
Hope someone out there can help. I was given a T/C Hawken Flintlock
in .45 several years ago by an elderly gentleman I had befriended. I
promised him that I would never sell it in his lifetime, and that time
has recently passed. I'm not a black powder shooter and am considering
selling...
Per an e-mail I received from EAA/USSG who was the last importer of Baikal shotguns,
they're no longer handling the Baikal line. Hopefully, someone will pick it up again and
make them available.
I bought two, one for me and one for my little brother.
We both love the size and design and since we both
normally use money clips, this design is perfect.

I purchased two from the Kukri House in Pakistan. They had a
great website but I haven't gone to it in a while. One was
a standard size, the other was custom made for me. According
to the owner (retired Ghurka), it takes 3 guys 4 days to knock out
a knife. As funny as this may...
I've got a choice between the two, prices are within $20.00 of each
other. They both feel good and point well. Any input would be
greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

My turn around was about 5 weeks...H&R has shipping instructions on their
website. New barrels require hand fitting to the receiver that you ship them.
Personally, I haven't had any powder residue on my hands anytime I shot.
They can also do a trigger job and bring it...
I just gan an e-mail for USSG/EAA. It states that they've decided to
drop the Baikal line! It's a sad day for those of us who like a good
utilitarian gun.
I've been waiting patiently for Davidson's or one of my local dealers to
get in some USSG products, primarly a MP94 in .22WMR over .410.
Shot an e-mail to USSG asking about shipping or manufacturing
issues but go no response. Does anyone out there know why
they're not making it to...
