    Florida Assault Weapons Ban

I wish they would do something about automobile-violence. in 1-1 1/2 year period in the USA, as many Americans die in traffic related accidents as the number of Americans died in the entire 10 years of the Vietnam war, a war in which people were trying to kill each other with full-on automatic...

Finally checked out the new Extar at the range

definitely a best budget pistol. once you understand what these pistols (and all the others out there) are good for and how much fun they are, it's like a light bulb going on in your head and there's no turning back. probably the fastest growing market right now.

    Long-grip, slim, single-stacks?

many of the modern slim pistols out there, specifically made to be slim by design and similar to the G48, fit your criteria OP. the PPS BP9CC, etc., etc.. there're are even those that may be slightly shorter then you may like but offer an extended mag, base pad or pinky rest, either factory or...

    Long-grip, slim, single-stacks?

not so ironically, since he designed slim pistols, the Browning BDM and BPM-D were also very slim and held 15 rounds in the mag. they were something like just a hair over 1" thick at the grip. the BHP is noticeably and measurably thicker.

    slide lock-or slide release

I always use the slingshot method. it works in any pistol I can think of. (including the BG, and yes, I may actually have to use HIS mags when I take his pistol). it increases the odds of properly chambering. ..increases the odds of going into battery. ..the slide has already picked up...

What type of ammunition do you prefer?

I like my SD ammo loaded the same and shoots same POI as practice ammo from one of the main manufacturers with great HP design. standard pressure.

Signed this petition yet? Don't ban suppressors

done!! ...and I don't even own one...but i'm thinking of the future. to be honest, I feel dirty, like asking an overlord for permission to something I've always had a right to. owning a suppressor legally is extortion. i'm sure criminals don't feel that way.

Replacement recoil springs for semi-compact, 9mm Baby Eagle II

I was going to suggest the cleaning of the FPC, FP and spring as a first step but no need now. however, I would suggest to take it all back out and wipe off that oil and keep it dry. (I do use Corrosion Block in there but I keep it apart for some time and it dries out completely because it's...

    Colt 1908 .380 - Jamming

I have no experience with the Colt 1908 but it sounds to me that, with the slide back, the top round is moving in/to a wrong position, perhaps nose-diving or some other wrong angle. just for testing, try inserting the loaded mag very gently and then again normal. I would also guess feed-lips...

Ruger Security 9, Walther PPS, Sig p365 which to get?

yeah the CCP did feel very good in my hand as well.(when they first came out). the slides are easy to rack too. be careful what you find in pawn shops, Walther has upgraded the CCP. I don't know all the details but I think the take down is easier on the new ones, no tool needed or something...

    Bersa tpr9c ?

IMHO, if one is looking for a DA, all metal pistol, the standard and compact of these are the most underrated, best bang for the buck out there and has been so for years now. it's best features are: they are purpose built to be the sidearm of any military or police force looking for it's...

    Walther Pistols...

P99 AS. last gen, extended mag release. PPQ to P99 - "i'm the coolest kid on the block, plus you killed my father". P99 to PPQ - 'NO, I AM your father". Glock and Steyr M/A1/A2 - "we're your cousins".

Is lead contact that much of a health issue?

I just wanted to add that spirulina, chlorella and cilantro can be used to eliminate toxic heavy metals from the body. just make sure you get a quality product as some sources out there, particularly from some places like China, already come contaminated.

Ruger Security 9, Walther PPS, Sig p365 which to get?

you have several Bersa .380s? you consider them to be excellent guns? they are some of the most accurate you've ever shot? they are DA and you like and are used to that?,..really smooth and crisp break? you want something about 1" thick, no thicker (and with no controls poking out...

    Bigger is Better

the versions out now are the non-reciprocating. also, the pins loosen up a bit and you can push them by hand. on the third video i disagree on the reasons for the numbers but I do agree on how well made they are.

    Bigger is Better

that's funny. no ties to anyone but I do admit i'm enthusiastic. i'm just saying the Stribog is a better gun then the Scorpion, for me anyway. it's not all plastic, no need to change the grip or safety, cost the same or a little less, comes with 3 mags, plenty of after-market parts already and...

    Bigger is Better

I should also mention that very soon there's going to be a roller delayed (similar to HK but a bit different) version coming out.....and affordable. it's simply waiting for approval before it can come in, it's already a done deal. THAT will be the "nail on the coffin". i'm sure that at least...

    Bigger is Better

it's just a matter of timing and popularity. right now Stribog mags are about as common as Scorpion mags ounce were. since the Scorpion became popular obviously the mags are now in many places but that wasn't always the case. now there's a few guns that use Scorpion mags, like the PSA AKV. you...
