what brands/ models of red dot sights are there that are reasonably good quality, without taking out a loan to get it:eek:'
a 1-2 power, any reticle (crosshairs, dots, chevrons, etc.)
decent quality, in the $100-200 range.
are they any good? i am kinda looking at mod.#TG8030MB2, (2X42, 4 reticles in green or red, integral scope mount)also, it will not be used for anything beyond 200 yards, so the 2x magnification isn't an issue.
does anyone have experience with these? what are the pros/cons
i have seen many posts that suggest shimming the barrels of enfields, mosins, etc. to improve accuracy. so, two questions
where on the barrel is this done,
and just how effective is it?
recall side (they are making them with the new improvements, right?)what do you think of your lcp's? noticed the price of pistol +ammunition, and kinda liked it.
for all you carbine nuts out there,
what does it take to put the band with the bayo lug on a carbine with a standard band. does it involve taking off the front sight, or is there some simple trick to it?

i was tallying up the costs to shoot black powder, and i liked what i saw. so, i was wondering, who makes an entry model revolver (cap and ball) at an entry level price?

seeing the number of Taurus handguns at a show recently, it made me wonder: how good are they? for the price i would not expect them to punch 2'' groups at 75 yds, but are they reliable?
