I have one and it's been slower and more awkward for me than a short barreled shotgun. I'm going to put my regular stock and forearm back on asap. Mine has also slammed into my mouth when shooting 1 3/8 oz. loads at a very large rattle snake. Had me spitting blood. Not fun. Took a while to...
The primer pictured in the second post looks like excessive pressures to me. Try reducing your loads to a more reasonable level and your problems will be eliminated.
When hunting with two guys we always used one rifle and one shotgun. At a close range , moving coyote, a shotgun is easier to hit with and is also good against larger critters. Most hunters already own a shotgun.
While not supposed to, in the real world some springs, probably the majority, do take a set if left compressed for a long period of time. Rotating the springs will avoid this.
I have both a handheld light and a weapon mounted combo laser/light. Don't plan to use the weapon mounted light unless all else fails. Plan A is to use the handheld light and the laser sight, but at 20 feet or less point shooting will be imployed.

For shooting off hand or free hand a quality red dot, for rested shooting a good 2x handgun scope. The Ultradot is top of the line for reddots and leupold for a 2x pistol scope. I shoot steel plates with mine and use the Ultradot 4-dot reddot, but some others do well with less expensive...
Unless you bought a S&W in a magnum caliber the entire revolver is not made of a steel strong enough to endure pressures of 35,000 or so. Just because the outward appearance is the same as revolvers chambered in .357 doesn't mean the steel is the same. Anybody who shoots a .38 super in a .38...
Copperheads, while poisonous are seldom deadly to an adult. Rattlesnakes are truly bad news though as are cotton mouth moccasins. The last person I know of to get bit by a rattlesnake required 22 vials of anti-venum, 2 weeks in the hospital and still might lose their leg or foot. Cost just for...
I am a veteran and have taken the texas cc course. There are no exemptions for veterans, but active military do not have to do the shooting portion of the test. I've taken the course twice and have found it very informative especially on the legal aspects of shoot or don't shoot. I would not...
Back before the 300 win mag came out some very well known gunsmith co.'s were rechambering to the .30-.338. Most of these will chamber and fire .308 Norma Mag. just fine. From the first appearance of the .338 everybody said winchester was going to bring it out necked to .30 cal. When it finally...
