Not necessarily a hot load but my standard is 11.2 gr of AA#5 and a 250/255 gr LSWC. Taken my fair share of game with that recipe.

45ACP, easy to reload, comes in a large variety of bullet weights and shapes. Not abusive to the gun or the hand..... and gets the job done.

There was snow on the ground. This has been my plinking load for a dozen years or more. Never had a squib,never noticed any issues before.

My go to plinking load for 45 ACP...5.0 be Red dot. Last week shot around 50 reloads at a paper target backed by cardboard. At 7 yards. I'm at the point where I'm no longer willing to pay the door fee to people watch. Prices are so out of whack I can't imagine buying anything at a show that I can't find elsewhere for cheaper. If I want to people watch I'll head to the mall.....more good looking women anyhow!
