You need to provide more information in order to acquire a concise answer. Caliber, range, load, firearm, reloading process, etc. Waiting for the information......
My old time shooting buddy and I used to buy the 147's (the same as you have described) by the 10,000 count lots. We would shoot them at 200 and 300 yards for big bore practice. Our experimentation allowed us to shoot fantastic groups with them. Good enough that we would shoot them in...
Again, if you want to have success with your cast bullets, do not flare your case mouths! And do not crimp! There is no need to crimp! The bullets will be held in the case neck via neck tension providing of course that you are using the correct bushing. Slow burning powders such as 4831 produced...
Get some 4831 and Dacron filler. From memory I used to use 48 grains of 4831 and .5 grains of Dacron. The Dacron tuft was placed on top of the powder column. My old time shooting buddy showed me how to do this successfully. We would shoot 10X's prone at 200 yards with our 30-06 highpower over...

I need to say that you are over the maximum charge (assuming that you indeed have a .357 Mag chamber) listed in the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook and that is not good! They list the maximum charge at 13.5 grains of 2400. I would highly suggest that you purchase a copy and adhere to the data within...
We are measuring 3 groove and 5 groove slugs for free! Send us your slug and caliber of the barrel, name, address, phone, and email address and we will contact you as to the slug's diameter to determine the correct sized diameter. We are offering this service free!
Hi John,
The overall length is 0.652" and the 'body' length is 0.330". Seating them is really dependent on what the firearm likes. Anywhere between the top of the lubrication groove and the shoulder is going to be the finished seating area (so to speak).
