Anyone else dump Netflix over Rice?

I canceled my subscription within 10 minutes of learning Susan Rice joined the board of Netflix. I'm sure there are equally villainous scumbags on all sorts of boards, but there was no way I could continue to give money to any corporation that thinks she's a suitable director. I will miss...

    Tell me your Armscorp experience

I have a 22TCM pistol. Never had any issues with it. I then bought the rifle. It has been sitting for several years still in its box. It seems they made quite a few of the rifles with horrendous rifling. Mine is one of them. I'm willing to bet theidahoanshow's homemade rifling is of higher...

Instructables.com pretty much confirmed their anti-gun stance. We're too controversial.

Couldn't pick a worse time to challenge something like this, methinks. You'll just annoy them and force their hand to outright ban any firearm related content (which is well within their rights), possibly in as public of a fashion as they can muster.

    Black Friday/Cyber Monday Deals

If you look at their listing, it is priced at $549, but has 'coupon code "VP9"'. That code knocks an additional $100 off.

Repairing a WORTHWHILE zinc pistol frame

I know essentially nothing about them, but how accurate are those x-ray analyzers, like I've seen used in scrap yards, at identifying alloys? Can they be used on objects shaped like this frame, or do they need a larger flat surface to work?

Post a picture of your SBR

Crappy picture, but I wanted to join in... Hoping to see how it runs with a Fostech Echo trigger before too long (With a subgun can. Don't think the Osprey is rated for any amount of rapid/sustained fire.)

inline Fabrication quick Change mount Experience?

Another satisfied inline customer here. I installed 2 flush mount quick change plates into my benchtop, mounting them flush with the front edge of the bench as well as the top surface. Everything's got its own mounting plate, from the presses to the trimmer, priming tool, swager, etc. It...

attempting glass bedding for first time. Tips?

As others have said, read various tutorials and instructions and watch some vids. I'd just throw in a couple of simple pointers: Make sure you mix more compound that you'll need and apply it heavily. It is much easier to remove excess that squeezes out than it is to rebed or even touch up...

    Dropping cable TV...

I got rid of dish over a year ago. The only thing I miss is the Outdoor Channel, especially the Wednesday Night at the Range stuff (or whatever it was/is called). I have found nothing that compares online. Pursuit streams, but there's only so much whispering one person can handle. Tons of...

Buy a gun online without a credit card

Online retailers? Sure, there are many that accept other forms of payments than just online CC transactions. Two off the top of my head are Buds (MO, personal checks, ACH, etc) and Centerfire Systems (MO, personal checks, Check Fax).

    C&R FFL License

First tip, if you haven't already, check this out: http://thegunwiki.com/Gunwiki/CurioAndRelicDiscounters (Brownells accepts C&R for dealer pricing, and is still my go-to supplier, but as of late even their dealer pricing has crept up to the point that many things can be found cheaper...

Brass shotgun shells - roll crimp?

I believe it is mainly a Cowboy Action thing. Also a why-not/just-because thing. One practical application I can think of is in magazine-fed shotguns that are kept loaded (Saiga, et al). Left sitting with a full mag and a closed bolt, a plastic hull in the top of the mag can deform...

Brass shotgun shells - roll crimp?

Like PapaG said... It is a slight roll crimp, more like what you'd see in a revolver round, not like the roll crimps used in plastic/paper hulls.

    Recommend a .380acp

It is worth checking out, but it is definitely one you need to handle before even considering. The grip is so tiny. It is literally a one-finger grip for me without the extended mag baseplate, and the factory extended baseplate is too long to be pocketable. I wish someone would make a...

    Class III suppressor for HD?

In general, this is not true. I suppose there may be some states where this is the case, I don't know, but NFA items can be transferred from individual owners to legal heirs tax free on a form 5. A Trust can be a good thing, but is not a requirement to pass items down when you die.

    .22 Rimfire scope question?

I'd be willing to bet most rimfire scopes would handle most low-to-moderate recoiling centerfires. The cheapest of them probably wouldn't, of course, but they'd probably be horrible on a rimfire as well. You do need to be aware that parallax for rimfire scopes (if not adjustable) is typically...

    Silencerco Sparrow or Ruger Silent-SR

_IF_ you plan on ever running a shrouded barrel like the TacSol SBX (Beyers and possibly others make similar shrouded barrels), I'd suggest leaning strongly towards the Sparrow. Its monocore design means you'll never end up with a rear end cap stuck on the muzzle threads way down in the...

    460 Rowland

Just my 2¢... and even that's likely overestimating the value. If you're seriously needing to depend upon the firearm and you want a 460 Rowland, I'd go with a Wilson Hunter. $$$$ though, and you'll still want to put plenty of rounds of your chosen carry ammo through it to make sure it is...

Loaded up on trail boss today

I hadn't seen it for years either. Recently spotted some at a gun show. They had $26 price tags on the 9oz bottles. Wonder if they actually sold any. Found a not-so-local LGS that actually had a couple of 5lb jugs sitting on the shelf. $114. I was a nice guy and just bought one. :) It had...
