I have a 632 Carry Comp Pro and love it. It's my 5th .32, they start with a .32 S&W (which many misname as the .32 short) up to the .327 Federal.
As far as new cartridges go look at the .40 S&W, it was the new kid on the block in 1990 (20 years already? :what:I'm getting old...)and look where...
I picked up a S&W 632 & was wondering if 32 acp ammo could be used in a pinch. It's .309 diameter as opposed to the .312 of the rest of the 32 family so it is .003 undersized.Pressure should be OK and the base diameters of the 327 and 32acp are both .337. The only problem I see is the thickness...
I've had mine for a couple of weeks now but have only had one box of 20 95 grain light 327 mags to put through it. I have put a couple of boxes of 32 S&W long wad-cutters and a box of 32 H&R mags too and it is a pleasure to shoot with the light loads. I look forward to getting the heavier stuff...

A 357 J frame using full moon clips? I can see 9mm or 45 ACP rimless but had not been aware of full moons for rimmed cartridges...
I just got my S&W 632 327 Mag and am looking for CCW leather but it seems that the "fitted" IWB holsters are only made for the 2"~2 1/8th" flavores of the J frame. I found this...
How about a short cylinder/frame J in 9mm? A lemon squeezer chambered in a 5 shot 32 Auto in a little top break with full moon clips? Part of the compactness of the little autos is the short cartridge so why can't a short frame/cylinder little wheelgun be produced? Ideally a top break but a...
Back when the US switched to clad coins in 964 I started saving silver coins. Silver is softer and many were barely recognizable as a US coin and I got the idea to dropsome into an old electric lead pot about half full of molten lead. after boosting the heat with a torch and they melted into the...
I don't know but the black SS is what I thought I was getting but there is at least one variant. My 632-1 is a satin SS finish (looks grey) and sku # is 178028.
Thanks Old Fuff, I appreciate the 411 and the help in identifying my 5" pre M&P 32 Long a while back. Your comment brought the thought of "What happened to the Iver Johnson & H&R tooling for their Top Breaks?"
The ballistics of the 32 ACP and 380 look (on paper) to outperform the 32 S&W and 38...
I'm thinking small, hammerless as a pocket gun. Not like a Webly or Schofeild (but I'd like to have a Schofeild to go with my SAA & Blackhawk along with my BP.
I was giving my S&W New Departure Safety Hammerless a cleaning and started to think a modern version in 9mm would be a great pocket gun. A J frame based on the "Centennial" would be sweet. I know pressures are up there but another option would be a 45 GAP or plain old 45 ACP.
This topic was...
Call me crazy but the .30 Carbine Blackhawk came to mind:
http://www.ruger-firearms.com/Firearms/FAProdSpecsView?model=10595
because I could swear I had seen 30 carbine adapters to chamber in the 30-30 but it's not listed on MCA's site. If so it would let you use the carbine round in both in a...
I was told by a LE firearms instructor that the M-16 was much more reliable than the AC556K's they fielded. Personally while I love my M1A NM the Mini-14 feels like I'm holding a BB or toy gun, I don't have that toy feeling with my AR's, go figure...
Mastercard "Priceless" moment...
Before I launch into the MasterCard "Priceless" moment that occurred today some background is in order.
I had to give some "Big City"attorney a ride after the company I was with acquired a competitor down in Key West. Little did I know that she would end up...
Giggle switch, that sums it up pretty much alright. Short, controlled burst are the only way, the rookies just spray and pray.
Back when I was in the biz working at a major firearms distributor Colt sponsored a company shoot and Winchester co-sponsored. Colt was demoing the brand new Delta...
