Ruger P90. The only time it faltered was when I fed it with some reloads, I did not properly remove the mouth bell.

Just applied for my MD CCW!

I believe current approval times are more than two months. The folks at Maryland Shooters have been doing a great job tracking the entire application process times since last summer. There are 442 pages of tracking posts...

Slicking up a nickel plated coach gun

I have both - blued and nickle plated. The surfaces you are going to touch are not going to be seen until you open the action. On my nickled gun I keep the smoothed surfaces lubricated with grease to prevent rusting. On my blued gun I did cold blue the portions taken down to the bare steel...

    Norma USA Subsonic-22

"do you think the occluded hollow points can affect accuracy?" Only a proper science experiment at the range can answer that question.

    CZ P10 C

My P10C is the gun I intend to carry when my Maryland Wear and Carry license application is approved. I used it in my W&C range qualification test scoring 117 of 125 (93%) using Winchester white box 115 grain ammo. I have put in several Cajun Gun Works components since I bought it in 2018. The...

What's the most fun gun you have ever fired

M1919 - I shot it years ago on a military fort. It was privately owned but the owner wanted to shoot my new-on-the-street Ruger P90. He let me rip off a few dozen rounds in exchange for shooting a box of my reloaded .45 ACP rounds. I got the best part of that deal.

Now that I’ve actually read it

With regard to the Red Flag provisions, as I understand, the states can only get the money if their state's Red Flag law contains all of the many provisions in the new BPSCA. That includes giving the gun owner right to counsel, the right to know the accuser and adjudication via a judge (I...

Landmark 2nd Amendment victory at SCOTUS in NYSRPA Inc. v. Bruen!!!

This is a substantial victory. No SCOTUS decision can be immediately effective, nor will all opposition disappear at once. But this is a great step for us.

    DIY polishing SS Ruger Redhawk

I did a fairly good polish job on a security firm turn-in S&W 64 years ago using Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish. I did it in one evening using some cut up sweatshirts. I was watching the Texas vs Texas Tech football game while polishing. One of my nieces calls that M64 my Pimp gun.

    Lead poisoning...

I had high blood levels for a period when I was shooting each week at an indoor range with an air handling system that pulled the air toward the firing line. Yes, that is correct. It pulled the air toward the shooters. I stopped shooting there and in a year my blood level was down under 3.5 ug/dl.

Are you primarily a collector, shooter or both?

Shooter. But the state of Maryland considers me a 'collector' so that I can buy more than one gun every 30 days.
