    Best .22 Mag Revolver?

I'm going to suggest you look hard at the .32's. In a J frame S&W the recoil of the .32H&R is very light and the .32Long is on par with a .22lr. I have a 432PD which is an airweight and it's a pleasure to shoot the hottest .32H&R's I can find. The new J frame they have out is for the .327...

    Most popular? 9mm, .40S&W, or .45acp

Thanks JohnKSa, I imagine that Massad Ayoob has plenty of information available to him on this. So, looks like it's still the 9mm as a general rule but the .40 is closing the gap.

    Most popular? 9mm, .40S&W, or .45acp

I would agree with that for worldwide, I should have been clearer and asked about U.S. use. I guess I'm wondering how big of a foothold the .40S&W has gained in the marketplace. I know the 9mm was the leader and I'm thinking the .45 will be a strong third place here.

    Most popular? 9mm, .40S&W, or .45acp

What is the most used round for semi auto's today? I'm not looking for opinions on which is better, just the most in use today by both law enforcement as well as regular shooters.

Fine Single Actions by Alan Harton

Alan is a class act and his prices are more than reasonable for the level of work he does. I've had him work on two guns for me so far with zero complaints and nothing but praise. He'll be getting more work from me.

    New S&W 632: Smith gets back into .32 kit-guns

I really like the .327 and will be buying one of the new Smiths to go with my SP-101. The SP-101 recoil is really negligible, it's loud, but actual recoil is light. With the comp on the Smith, and knowing that the higher the pressure the more useful a comp is, this should make for a very quick...

Rifle To Match Ruger Old Army?

Sounds like the sabot is the way to go on this project. I can use the Old Army conicals in a pinch but still use a standard .50 rifle for all of its benefits. Thanks folks, made me a custom rifle for almost no money. I can eat ramen for a month, it's the wife and kids that complain. :D

    Dream revolver

I love it, and completely agree. Myself, I'm not overly creative which is a good thing as it makes me much more satisfied with factory offerings. My 4" Target Grey GP-100 is perfect for me and I can't think of a thing I'd change.

Rifle To Match Ruger Old Army?

Thanks, I had a feeling. :banghead: My wallet doesn't generally support the word "Custom".

Do you buy one brand exclusively?

I've got a half dozen different brands of handguns. I buy what I like and then keep what proves itself to me. I'm not anti anything, I'm willing to give any brand a chance to try out for a slot in my permanent collection.

Rifle To Match Ruger Old Army?

Hi all, I have a feeling that the answer is no, but I wanted to ask just to make sure. I've got a Ruger Old Army and I was wondering if anybody made a black powder rifle that could make use of the same .457 ball. I understand that a rifle uses a patch so the bore size must account for that...

    Heritage SA

Look around, you should be able to find them for less than $200.00 and closer to $150.00. For three hundred you can find a Ruger Single-Six which is easily twice the gun as the Heritage. Not knocking the Heritage, it is what it is, a good old fashioned cheap gun.

Any tests in .327 Fed Mag in a 2.5" Barrel

Charter Arms has their Patriot model in both a 2.2" and a 4" version. Send an email to them and see if they chrono'd it. I heard rumors of a Taurus version but haven't seen anything on it. Smith and Wesson has announced their J frame but it's a 3". My .327 SP-101 is a 3 1/16". I've got...

    5.5 or 6.5 single six?

I was going to get a 4-5/8" but ended up with a 5.5 and I'm very happy with it. I've also got a 5.5" Single-Six in .32Mag and have found this to be a perfect fit for me with the Single-Six. Ruger did make a special run of Stainless 4-5/8" Single-Sixes within the last few years. If you...

    S&w j-frame in .327 federal magnum

I'll be buying one as soon as it becomes available. I already have an SP-101 in .327 and as soon as I see a Charter version here in California I'll buy that too. This round is awesome and nothing but fun. The noise isn't as bad as a full house .357 and from what I hear, that's a fairly...

    Ruger Warranty Still Tops

The best customer service I've ever received has been from Ruger with Smith and Wesson being a close second. I have little interest in buying other brands with the great service and outstanding products that these companies turn out.

    .22 mag for self defense

My wife was comforted for a few years with my Single-Six with the .22Mag cylinder while I was away. For a few years after we got married it was the only gun I had and the money wasn't there to buy anything else. I wouldn't feel overly vulnerable with a Single-Six today and still shoot one a lot.

    Poll 642 vs. 442

Personal preference only, I chose the 442. Can't imagine any performance difference at all.

Take a look at the Glock 34, it's an outstanding value and one of my smarter purchases.

    Christmas revolver

I can't imagine anyone ever being sorry they bought a GP-100. I've yet to experience any weakness in them and will never give mine up. There are very few guns that I will say that about as I sell off most guns I buy as soon as I find something about them I dislike and I'll be darned if I can...
