Hey all, I haven't checked in for quite some time! How are my HR buddies??
I just landed a great job and wanted to share the joy and tell you all about it (for your benefit, trust me).
Manchester Firing Line: Manchester NH. I just got a job after YEARS in public safety as a weapons/sales...
Wow, the defense and firearms industry are going to be all over this one!! I bet some engineers are really excited right now! Fox News article about a teenage kid solving TWO!! 300 year old ballistics equations posed by Newton, yet unsolved. Very very cool...
I saw a thread on kids at gun shows (being little brats, not keeping hands off stuff, etc.) but what are your thoughts about babies at shows (15 mo just getting mobile)? My girlfriend says "so what" but I think I'm on the fence about it a little more for two reasons....
1. "I'll bring the...
Hey all,
My girlfriend works for the American Legion in Manchester NH and I've become friends with many of the guys in the hall. The finance manager invited me back to "the safe" and unveiled a beautiful old Colt 1911. He isn't so sure of the history of this particular handgun, and it was...
A little story into a product warning......
I work as a police patrolman in a rural area of northern NH. I cover approx. 100 sq/mi. by myself so there are more than enough opportunities in a shift to get in/out of the cruiser on many, many calls....much less for bathroom breaks, foot patrol...
This may have been posted before but I did a quick search and didn't find it. With all the 1911 craze these days I thought it would be fun to re-visit the topic anyway. What a great bit of history to look at!! This is the 1940 cavalry field manual for the 1911A1. It contains some really great...
Then NEA (Teachers Union) is now banning all field trips to the NH Statehouse due to the gun ban being lifted "for the safety of the children".

Ridiculous.....
But I guess field trips to downtown Boston are still ok.....go figure.
I tried to find the picture on line to post it here but with no luck so I'll do my best to describe it.....
The cover of the December 2010 Law Officer Magazine (EDIT: Sorry, I mean Law and Order Magazine) shows a Fairfax County Virginia Sheriff/Officer sighting an A-2 variant AR and the...
Click this link to a story about an AD "after purchasing the firearm at a gun show".....man shoots himself in the leg in a vehicle after purchasing the firearm in Manchester NH at a gun show.
This is just terrible reporting, and WMUR should get a ton of very colorful responses from this...
Does anybody know of a good distributor of Magpul equipment (specifically P-Mags) that accepts PayPal for payment? I'm done with the credit card game, and I'll settle for a check or money order if I have to, but PayPal is so easy to use and fast......
Let me know! I did a search here on THR...
Well, it's that time of year again where me and the other local officers head to the range for qualifications, and this year has been more fun than ever!! We do a two day session to give everyone a chance to make it....juggling shifts, days off, etc. The weather for the second day was horrible...
The town of Nottingham NH has approved it's town employees carrying/bringing firearms to and during work! Of course all other state and federal laws still apply (ccw permits, other restrictions, etc.)

This article has got me a little concerned. It's about a California LEO (Chief) and his thoughts/concerns about open carry. Sentence No. 3 states that open carry is the practice of carrying unloaded (ok, this may or may not be depending on the individual), but I think this Chief is a little...

A muzzle loader factory (gunpowder factory) in Colebrook NH had a fire/explosion today. Two employees have died. I've never heard of this product and wasn't even aware of a factory there. Colebrook is very rural, a place where everyone knows...

The article is pretty cut and dry...and mentions nothing about firearm ownership in our very pro 2A state, but some of...
....for the good guys. This SD shooting took place in the next town south of me in Lincoln NH. They said it was a .40 cal.

+1 for the good guys!!
Just picked one up for $150.00 brand new!! Dead-nuts accurate right out of the box. Now I just need to pick up some 3/8in. scope rings and a scope but the iron sights are great. It's been a LONG time (my youth) since I've owned and shot a .22 L/R rifle but I saw this on the shelf and got the...
"Should Pennsylvania have a state firearm? One state senator is giving the idea a shot. Sen. Pat Browne, R Lehigh County, is sponsoring a bill that would designate the Pennsylvania Long Rifle as the state's official firearm."--- I pulled this from a Facebook NRA post just a few minutes ago and...
