What is a good barrel twist rate for a bolt action in .308?...I am thinking of buying one of Remingtons SPS Varmits in .308 and not sure if their 1-10 rate is the way to go or not. Also does anyone know the difference between the varmit and the police model?

I have a S&W 625 in .45acp and the cylinder is stuck and does not want to swing open. I took it out and shot 30rds. today and when I push the cylinder latch the cylinder does not want to move more than a hair. Any suggestions?

I can never seem to get my shotgun barrels as clean as I would like. There seems to be a film, I believe this is plastic from the wads, that refuses to come clean. Any suggestions?
