A series of unfortunate events ( WARNING : GRAPHIC, VERY )

Dude, glad your ok, that looks like it hurt bad. Really glad I picked the RCBS with strip priming for my first progressive. All these years of single stage, I never liked the primer tubes, but I bought the RCBS because I got a great deal, not for the safety aspect. Now I'm convinced I did...

    Pistol measure

long discontinued but very well made. typical Ohaus quality. Mine has a replacement lid and when the hopper finally breaks, it looks like a bottle off of a Mec shotgun press will fit.

    Pistol measure

if you can find one, the Ohaus DuoMeasure has both the rifle and pistol cavities in one drum. You just move a set screw from one hole to another to switch from the rifle cavity to the pistol cavity. Now owned by RCBS, the DuoMeasure is very similar to the Uniflow, just easier to use and...

    375 Winchester Brass

same problem with 35 Rem, I found one source but it's a 500 piece minimum and I really only want or need a couple hundred. Thought I'd jump in here rather than open another thread. There's a guy on cast boolits who's selling reformed and machined .308, anyone have any experience to share with...

    Want To Start Casting

one more for a Lee bottom pour, I use the 20lb, to cast from and a cast iron crucible/pot to smelt the dirty lead in. Flux it well and enjoy the new addictive addition to reloading. The Lee pot can be drippy but a screwdriver stops that and it's 62 bucks on Amazon.

So the Boston Globe's Editorial Staff has this to say about carrying guns...

not a "Progressive" Sam but I am a happy and proud Liberal gun owner and daily carrier who completely agrees with you on this article. Sad to see the amount of ridiculousness about a plain no frills editorial asking for reciprocity. Not Federal carry standards, not a Federal carry License...

Help Me Understand So I Don't Be A Fudd

Do you have a link for that stat Tinpig? I have a feeling I might need it soon. For an answer to Berettaprofessor, all I can do is repeat what the other Arizonans are telling you. We made this change in our CCW law with zero problems. It just has not been an issue in this state and I can't...

    injector cleaner for rifles?

works great, just keep it on the steel, it melts polymers in some situations. Melted the grips on a old CZ70 years ago and since then, I pull the gun out of the stocks.

    7.62x54r Expander Problem with 303

Whose die set? iirc, my Lee 7.62x39 dies had two expanders, one to use on .308-.309 bullets for American made barrels and one for the .311 Euro sizing. You could try a slight bell on the brass but it probably will fail if the expander is too small.

Atf open letter on the redesign of “stabilizing braces”

seems the crime is the the installation with "the intent" to use it as a shoulder stock. Nothing in that says that occasional use of the brace as a stock is the problem. The problem is the intent to skirt the NFA by installing a product designed for one use for another. Seems to me as...

    Trail Boss

180+ lead gas cked in the 30-06 is subsonic with trail boss loaded down a bit yet still pretty darn accurate. iirc 10 grains but measure yourself using the 70% formula Hodgdon published would make a great late night coyote stopper and as it's a subsonic lead, no real danger of major...

Complete newb on reloading and looking for help

I don't think you can have too many books I have about 3 feet of shelf dedicated to every reloading manual I find used...New I've bought the Lee book, and both lymans, the standard and the cast. If nothing else, it allows you to look back through time and compare loads plus again imo, the...

    Confused

Welcome to THR it is the best reloading forum on the web imo for the helpfulness of the denizens. Have fun, be safe, and keep stuffing lead into brass. and start at new reloader if you can...I'm up to 4-5 I've begun down the path. None regret it yet.

.22lr bullets twist in the case

only problem I've had with loose 22s is using them in my Marlin 39 lever action. They will bend at the case and lock the rifle up tight...major pita, I never shoot the Win bulk for that reason

First Time Reloading Part 3 - Case Resizing (Starting over from scratch)

multiple semis in the same caliber then a small base might be s good choice but I interchange mine between a mini and an ar with no issues. it all depends on the rifles. Also on multiple semis, unless you have measurements from all 3 (which I'd rec) a tich under might be a help rather than a...

Questions on Herters Super 3 reloading outfit

great old press I have one and use it to reform brass. Huge, heavy and tough as nails. Shellholders can be found on ebay if you don't want to use the universal though they work great.

First Time Reloading Part 3 - Case Resizing (Starting over from scratch)

unless you have a fired case you're working from book specs not your rifle and honestly, .002 short is not going to be an issue at all. Are you loading for 1000m + match shooting? If not, set the sizer to the shell holder + a tich, size a case and chamber it. does it chamber smoothly...

    Hand loader magazine

put a post it in the top of your powder measure with the powder type written on it. That way you can clear the keg off of the bench, yet still know exactly what powder is in the measure. plus the basics of one powder at a time and one caliber at a time.

Factory JHP, Mexican match or full reloads

The most common "Mexican Match" ammo was the military M72 Match 30-06 ammo with the 173g fmj pulled and swapped with the 168 Match Kings.....supposed to gain you a minute of angle.....haven't tried it myself but I have a 45 cal can full of pulled 173's I picked up dirt cheap from a retired...
