    Missing the Security-Six?

I've had these since they first came out. Never considered selling them. They are "keepers".

Buying first Colt SAA (clone) - Cimarron vs Taylor's & Co

Both of my Piettas are current production guns purchased this year and both have the 4-click action.

    New Grips - Cimarron SAA

I've been pretty happy with the "plain-jane" grips that came on my Piettas.

How rare is tge US&S 1911?

"During WWII, five companies received contracts to manufacture M1911A1s for the war department. Remington-Rand (typewriter manufacturer) made about 878,000, Colt’s Manufacturing Company turned out 629,000, and Ithaca Gun Company made 345,000. Singer Corporation (sewing machine manufacturer)...

    Ruger Security Six

Excellent guns. Good competition to the S&W Model 19.

    Security 6 grips

Back when the Ruger Security Six was gaining popularity Ruger came out with some large grips for them that fit my hand perfectly. I put them on 3 Security Six's and really like them. The grips are out of production now but you can occasionally find them on Ebay.

Ballistol Effectiveness on Handgun Finish Long-Term

Good question. I suspect he is probably a Ballistol dealer.

My first large frame. Old Highway Patrolman gifted to me by my FIL.

There were some variations of the 28 that came with red ramp front sights. I think they are pretty rare. My other 2 28's have the more common black/blued front sights.

    Taurus PT 92 owners

I had 2 of them and they were nice, reliable guns. But I wish I had spent a few more dollars and bought the Beretta 92FS instead. I did eventually get the Beretta 92FS, sold it and bought a Sig P226 (German model with folded slide). Still have the Sig P226 and wouldn't trade it for any of...

    Full underlug revolvers

I have had one Taurus Model 85. It was absolutely the worst revolver I have ever owned. It was given to me by a relative of a deceased family member and I sold it at the next available gun show. I was so happy to get rid of it I gave the money to the relative. I have never bought another...

What is the worst revolver you have ever owned?

With out any doubt, the worst gun I ever had was a Taurus Model 85, .38 snub nose. It was given to me by my girlfriend whose father had recently passed away and this one was hidden on the top shelf in his closet and had the worst action I have ever seen in a revolver. Trigger pull was about 15...

    SAA Clones?

This one is a step down from the Cimarron Frontier. It's the Cimarron Pistolero in .45 Colt. It is made by Pietta and still has the traditional 4-click C-O-L-T action without the weird safety devices that many dislike on the Ubertis. You can buy these for a hair over $400. Really a great buy.

Question for a Sig P226 expert

For comparison, this one was made and bought in 2008. It is definitely nickel. Serial number is U354XXX.

Glock Blue Label program guns; heavier triggers?

I have a Blue Label Gen 5 G19. The trigger is very nice. Compared to my Gen 2, 3, and 4 guns the trigger pull is nearly identical at around 5 lbs on an RCBS Trigger Gauge. But, the Gen 5 has a smoother, cleaner, and better feeling trigger than the older guns. YMMV,
