some rear sights have 2 holes to screw the aperture into.The situation that your discribing sounds like you have the aperture in the top hole.This does 2 things,makes you shoot high and hides the lower hole from casual view.

Just occurred to me that you should make sure you can carry legally in the states you will cross if you go by way of Washington State.

Even if you made it across Canada you could still have trouble at US customs.The USA has import and export laws that you would have to comply with.

There is a Brit custom builder that makes 2 gauge.I saw an article on him a couple of years ago in Guns and Ammo.The gun was either 34 or 43 lb.They used it for sky busting geese.I believe most of his guns were 8 and 10 gauge. Glenn

I bought the 686.I was able to compare a citori and a 686 that had very similar features.3 inch chamber,both full and mod,most importantly both have 30 inch barrels.It just felt right when I shouldered it.The guns not light it just feels light next to the Citori.Thanks for the help.
