Here's a claim from the Utah Shooting Sports Council (USSC) that astounded me:
The USSC does not list a source for this claim, but I would love to know if this is accurate. Could some one help me dig up some statistics? Where would I find the number of prosecutions for prohibited persons...
I read the full article and nowhere did I see the boyfriend accused of theft.
For those of us who have had the pleasure, scumbags on the street will steal from you, and if confronted will proclaim loudly that "That's mine" or "He stole it from me!" to discourage people from getting involved...
A police officer went to an Ohio pharmacy to pick up security video of robbery hours earlier and walks in on a second robbery in progress. How he handles his weapon during the encounter is, I think, worthy of discussion here.

I keep my kids rifle locked with a gun lock in a padded soft case. I took him to the range one day and forgot the key.
I went out to the counter and asked if they had a pair of bolt cutters, and the guy says "Don't cut it, hang on a second". He disappeared for a second and returned with a...

Seems like a frivolous suit/PR stunt. It appears that they're trying prove that Badger Outdoors, Inc. somehow should have 'know' the guy was a drug abuser.

IIRC, he was aquited of the felony charge of attempted...
The Anti's are mobilizing for a push. This is the third article in two weeks in the WP and Colin Goddard, the Brady's current poster child, was on Oprah yesterday with his undercover footage of 'illegal' gun sales.
:banghead: Looks like the Anti's are mobilizing for a push...
I'll lay money that one of them will say "Well, just this weekend in the Washington Post there was an article about illegal gun sales..."
We need to write a similar article about a high-volume automobile dealership that sells cars to people with poor driving records and whose 'crime-cars' are later responsible for the majority of traffic infractions, DUI's and vehicular homicides in a given area.
It would be useful, even as a poe.
Thanks for finding the link to the study. You are correct that the use of an EBR for self defense didn't reach statistical significance. The researchers did say that EBR use could very well be detrimental as seen by a Jury.
I didn't read all 4 pages of responses, so if this is redundant please forgive me. Some things you may want to consider:
There was a recent study of Jurors that demonstrated a bias against a shooting being judged as 'self defense' depending on the type of weapon used. The study showed that...
