Texas has passed and the govenor has signed the open carry. I know that it requires belt or shoulder holster. Early on I heard that it would require a retention holster. Does anyone know if that is a part of the final law?

Just got back from Dicks sporting goods. They had a sale where a basic Ruger 10/22 was $199 but then $25 off for the sale. $174 for a new Ruger. I couldn't pass it up.

I'll throw in my 2 cents in. For any small pistol Thunderware does work and is decently comfortable. You don't need a belt. Elastic waist pants are best.

I found some buffalo bore 380+ ammo. My Glock 42 works perfectly with that ammo. I retried the other brands and it still jammed. So I guess it needs powerful ammo

I could not find any major brand. The seller & ballot ball ammo jamed as did a brand called c.o.p. and HPR. I guess I need to visit a number of shops to find some major brands. Those three were the only ones I found at a gun show where I bought the Glock 42

Failure to feed I had a similar FTF problem and finally found that the slide lock that should only be activated when an empty mag is present. Was partially activated and delaying the return of the slide causing the round to miss feed in the same way that was illustrated. (A different brand of gun)

Mosin 91/30 I have several mosin nagants of each Model. None are highly accurate -UNTIL - I added a Timney trigger to one. The 100 yard groups went from about 8 inches to about 2. But I am happy with all of them
