    New to 38-44 loads

I have a Ruger gp-100 that I want to build some 38-44 loads for. The GP is 38 spl only. So a few questions, soft lead with a gas check or hard cast lead bullets. I see some bullets with two crimp grooves one for 38 and one for 357.If I use some of these and load it in the lower groove would it...

How close to 357 numbers with 38 spl+P

I have a GP-100, 4 inch barrel, that's 38 spl only. Most all of my reloading is for standard 38 spl. Just want to know what would be some nice hot loads for the GP-100 as it's built on a 357 frame.

    ? for 45acp revolver shooters

Do ya'll lengthen the Col when you use the revolver? I load 1.25 col for my autos and since I have more leeway with revolver col length is it worth loading longer or stay with the 1.25? Bullet is a 200 gr lswc. Thanks

Which chrono has the largest window

I would really like to get one, but keep reading not if, but when you shoot it. Are there and noticable difference with the window you have to shoot through or are they all about the same?

Does the amount of powder change how far brass goes

I was shooting my 45's with a light load and the brass was landing around my feet which is good. My 9mm's throw the brass to the next county which is bad. I know the 9mm's are a lot hotter than the 45 acp. I was shooting Berry's 124 gr with 4.5 gr of Universal Clays. A very accurate load but...

    Pistol benchrest

I see the pistol benchrest and in the picture the gun has the barrel on the rest with with a pad for the grips. Something like this http://www.midwayusa.com/product/517357/caldwell-pistolero-pistol-shooting-rest. I was always told not to rest the barrel on anything just your grips. Any way...

Die help for the 45 auto rim

I know I'll need a shell holder for the AR. With bullets with a crimp groove would I need to Roll crimp them. If so who makes a roll crimp die for the 45 AR? I wanting to try some 250-255 gr bullets for my 45 acp revolvers. I thought I'd use the AR to keep separate from my 45 acp loads. Not...

Anyone Hunt with Remington Managed recoil

They claim 50% less recoil on their website. Anyone use it, how does it do and does shoot to POA?

Is this a dumb statement ?

This gun is made to be carried a lot and shot little. Unless it's just a flat out belly gun I don't understand. Why would you carry a gun that you may or may not be able to hit anything? I hear this said more and more often the smaller the guns get. Sounds like a slogan for you can't hit...

    OLD leather holster ?

I came across a older Roy's pancake holster and want to use it with my S&W 36-1. The 36-1 is nickel plated and the holster is very stiff and rough on the inside. Is there a way to soften up the rough inside as I don't want to mess the plating on the gun up. As the holster was made by Roy...

    4.1 Bullseye enough for Berry's 185 HBRN 45acp

I shoot both lead 200 SWC and 230 RN at 4.1 of Bullseye. Would this work for the plated bullet or am I going to have more powder. I use the Lee auto disk and am trying to work up loads for my different bullets. What do y'all use with Bullseye and Berry's HBRN 185 gr load?

Just back from the range and.....

After doing a side by side I found Hornady swaged 38's put out half as much smoke than the cast lubed bullets. Cost a bit more but worth it to me. The Berry's 185 HBRN with 4.8 Bullseye load drops the emptys at my feet with my Glock 36. Very good. My S&W 22-4 45acp is still my favorite...

What do you carrry to the campfire?

I have a 357 and a 45 acp and a 45 colt. I take the 45 colt to the fire pit. What say you. Where I live a Black bear is as big as it gets.

1,000 bullets and a pound of Bullseye now what?

Just got in a shipment of Berry's 185 HBRN 45 acp, new type for me. And a new to me, Bullseye powder. Wanting a light load for "My Precious", Star PD, and a few others. Any load info for this combo would be a help to putting that grin on. :D

How do you justify plated over lead ?

I've been using lead for my 38 spl and 45 acp/colt. I know cost is a large factor , But I'm starting to get tired of that cloud of smoke when shooting lead. Going to plated in the 45 acp/colt is quite a jump in price, so how do I justify making the move? What are your thoughts on the price...

    Grips for S&W model 22 45acp

I've been able to shoot one of the new model 22 45acp. I like the gun but don't like the grips. Will any of the N-frame grips work on this model? The ones on the gun are way small to me and just don't feel right.

    What's the headstamp on a 9x18

In picking up brass for a 9mm I've come across a 380 acp but no 9x18. These old eyes have trouble reading the small stamping and was just wondering what the stamping on the 9 x 18 was. Any others I should be on the look out for?
