    1 thousand, 2 thousand, 3 thousand MORE???

USMCDK, this blog may interest you; fella is planning to run 50k rounds through a S&W M&P9 in 6 months. As present, he's at ~32k rounds and still plugging along... It's been fun to track how the pistol is holding up (can't recall if it's on the blog, but I saw elsewhere w/pics that he...

Ruger Rimfire Autoloader (Mk II) "loose"

take a look at this link, I've read where a few folks who've installed the blast shield had a much tighter upper/lower fit.

    22 Semis - experiences?

do not fear the ruger disassembly! This link helped me do this to my new MKIII 22/45, and get it back together again. I've had it apart so many times in the past three weeks I can do it in a few mins w/o looking at the instructions. Get the Ruger, you will love it!

    .22 target pistol recommendations

I recently picked up my first .22 - a Ruger MKIII 22/45. Over the past three days, I've put ~600 rounds downrange with zero malfunctions (no cleaning/oiling aside running a boresnake down the barrel before each range session). My first field strip last night was uneventful - just take your...

    Fletcher's pistol smith

are you referring to Richard Fletcher in Virginia? Can't speak to his revolver work, but I sent a NRM Colt Commander for mild customization and the workmanship is excellent. I'm very happy with his services. Hope this helps...

What Components Are Most Important For A $1000 1911

I'm with takhtakaal - go with a bare bones Colt and have a bushing fitted, the newer Colt barrels shoot very well! My NRM Colt Commander came alive after a fitted Ed Brown bushing (swapped in short trigger and arched MSH; stock sights, sloppy factory trigger and sloppy slide to frame fit)...
