Due to the ammo shortage I got myself a Marlin 99 so I would have something to shoot 22lr out of. but now I cant find any 22lr, all I can find is CCI mini mags, but due to the higher velocity and pressures I wanted to check to make sure it will be ok in my Marlin 99.

I picked myself up a Quick-N-Ez case tumbler and cant believe I cleaned cases without it! I used some corn cob media and got my brass nice a clean...most of it shiny with just about an hour of tumbling. Now the part of me that makes me hate myself some times chimes in...not all the cases...

Sorry Everyone scary picture gone...sorry, I would not have even attempted a picture like that if I hadn't just brought the walker home from the gun shop, taken the cylinder off to verify it was unloaded, and put it back together (at this point I did not own BP, percussion caps, or balls) also...

I noticed between two of the nipples on the cylinder there is a little bump. I have been told that this is so you can drop the hammer between the cylinders, and carry with all 6 cylinders loaded...is this really safe, or should I just do 5 loaded and rest on the empty if I ever carry my walker....

I love them both, they both do what they were intended to do beautifully...I had to go with the AK though, I am just a sucker for the original bad ass...

I believe that everyone with a semi auto rifle has at least tried bump firing once, I did it with my SKS, haven't done it with my ak...but will at least once...its fun, not practical...but then again fun things are rarely practical.

I don't think I would carry a cap and ball on a daily basis, but I am planing on dressing like a cowboy with my walker loaded on my hip (simply because a 1911 just wouldn't look right) (p.s. I do not drink, so despite being at Halloween parties, I will be sober as a bird)

I will mostly just use it as a range gun, shoot some paper with it, i do handload, and it is the 6.5x52 version. from the pictures I have seen of it it seems to be in good condition, but before I buy it I will be running a bore light down it, and giving it a good look over
