Got out and tested a few more bullets in RedHawk and tested three bullets with a GP100 5 inch. Apparently the RedHawk spits them faster.

I have come across this a time or two. The surest cure I found for deep seated bullets was relatively newer RP 357 brass. The surest way to run into chambering issues was to use Super X brass. Thinking my Super X was all nickled as well. Next if I didn't pay extra attention to seating the...
Topprudder... From my math... Case length, 1.283" plus bullet length, .710", equals 1.993" minus 1.590" loaded cartridge length, gives me around, .403" seating depth. I think my additional seating depth might account for our differences. Thanks for lending me your experience with it.

So the other day I was working up some BE 86 loads and I really didn't believe my chronograph. Blue sheet with orange aiming spots. So retested today, green aim spots. Data is pretty similar. I have not questioned this chronograph before with other loads or calibers. Bullets as cast are 162...
Much appreciated. I tried the reading glasses thing a while back. It did a great job on the front sight. It made the target, for me, a multiple choice test. It probably had to do with the 15 and 25 yards. Of course it's a bit of a guessing game with the orange Birchwood Casey dots and paper...
Sir thanks for the time, effort, and materials you expended in your data. Couple questions and my apologies if you might have explained this before, your black circle with the two measurements, what is this? And what method are you arriving at charge weights, for example powder measure or hand...
How do these Gemini scales Handle wind currents? If a darn mouse farts in my garage the scale gets all out of sorts. Also keeping scale level to the Nth degree reduces most of my issues with drift.
Dog gone auto correct. Scale is indeed A ACCULAB VIC 123. My take on the combined weight fluctuations is paper is just over .04 but not enough to push to .06. With the combined check weight and paper pushed it to the next even hundreds. Will say I love this scale. My back up is a couple of...
Check weights
I have two scales, a RCBS 1010 and a Acculab VIC 123. I also have the RCBS check weights. I use the checks every time I load with either scale I use. I frequently check the scales for drift just because poo happens. I don't enjoy pulling down rounds due to an "an awe heck"...
Interesting. I travel to Duncan OK fairly often with a few stops to sporting good stores during the to and from. During the last "little" shortage that's how i came across some of my powders and primers. But, one can never have too many options. Would be willing to keep an eye open during my...
My tip goes hand in hand with Alfack, when setting bullet depth make certain that you have cases in the other positions on the shell holder. I burnt some hours trying to figure out why I was getting COL variance between setup rounds and cycled rounds. (I am not bright so i rode that wheel for...
LE Wilson after struggling with a RCBS one. Not knocking RCBS by any means just got an item that slipped passed quality control. LE Wilson with Q-type case holder rocks for everything but speed.
Acculab VICON 123. Very impressed with this one. Although it's a great scale frequent use of check weights still apply as they do with my RCBS 1010. Don't remember where I got the best price for it but I see it is carried in Sinclair catalog.
Faulty scale. That's gotta suck! Look up Check weights at midway. I will not ever reload without breaking those hummers out and using every time I change powders or calibers. a couple years ago I loaded some spirited Alliant 2400 44 Mags once due to scale/human/math (grams to grains)error...
