    I searched, but got gobbledy-gook

I carried a full size RIA 1911 for a few months in my CBST, only problem I ever had was the barrel was too long and would "thump" any seat I sat down in. That's when I decided to get a shorter barrel 1911, and I carry it daily in the same exact CBST. I would say the CBST is one of the most...

Colt Defender .45 ACP vs. Glock 30 .45 ACP?

Yes, the New Agent is SA, it's a 1911. Also, both the Defender and New Agent are officer frames, so I'm not exactly sure what you are referring to here Also the un-loaded weight of the New Agent is 24oz, it's about 4" tall, and it's less than an inch thick.

Colt Defender .45 ACP vs. Glock 30 .45 ACP?

I agree, I just replaced my Colt New Agent with a Kimber Compact for my EDC. The Kimber is a little heavier, but you can't tell with it in the CBST. Don't get me wrong though, the Colt has been 100% reliable, never a failure. I would carry either in a heartbeat, but the Kimber is new, so it...

Not happy with my pistol's accuracy..

I didn't see anyone else mention it, so I'll do it. There is a very, very easy fix for the Sigma's terrible trigger. It involves field stripping the gun, then removing the striker assembly and removing two unnecessary springs. These two springs are what make the trigger pull so freaking...

    P238 Still having problems?

It's probably still hit or miss. I could have easily sent mine back to Sig because of an extremely too tight extractor. I couldn't force a round passed the extractor whatsoever. Instead of sending it back I simply adjusted the tension, but I can imagine a large amount of people wouldn't feel...

Just got my CCW and it cost me $1,570.95

I just put some CT grips on my Colt New Agent, sure makes aiming easier. I'm getting better with the trough sites, slowly but surely. Got mine off one of the many gun auction sites for $775 shipped lightly used with 5 factory mags and a holster. I feel I got a pretty sweet deal on it since...

    should I trade a Sig p238...

I would say no, but that's because Glocks are just too fat for me conceal well. Plus the p238 makes a great pocket gun (that's why I bought it), the Glock 26 most certainly does not. I sold my Glock 27 so that I could buy the P238. :D

Talk me out of going all SA only...

I wouldn't worry much about rubbing the saftey off in your pocket (P238), it takes a good bit of force to take it off. I feel completely comfortable with it in my pocket. My RKBA pocket holster is also molded around the safety so that it is protected from getting knocked off on accident.

For those who carry a 1911....

I am active duty, but have only carried the Beretta 9mm on duty a few times. I used to carry a full size every day, but now I carry a Colt New Agent because of the shorter grip. I have carried all sorts of guns from Glocks to revolvers, also from as large as a GP100 to a tiny pocket sized...

Injured from my Colt New Agent

My poor sister caught an ejected casing right in the forehead today. Left a nice half-moon cut right above her right eye. I myself have been hit in the glasses twice. I think it's time for some extractor tuning.

    Price Check on Citadel Compact

I'll say that I never had any problems with either of my Armscor guns, one a full size RIA and the other a 3.5" High Standard. Shot all kinds of ammo with them, everything from reloads to hollow points, never a problem. It does suck that you guys are having problems, but it in no way defines...

First FTF in my LCP: Buffalo Bore "+P"

I had nothing but failures with BB in my P238. I was using the 100gr Lead Bullets. As soon as I see some WWB flat noses, I'm going to grab them to use as my carry rounds.

    S&W Sigma

I don't understand all the whining about the Sigma trigger. It's probably one of the easiest fixes ever on a pistol trigger. It took me all of 15 minutes to make my Sigma .40's trigger smooth and sweet. Have none of you people Googled "Sigma trigger fix"? Seriously...

    what 380 is good?

I love my P238. I can shoot it all day at the range too (with reloads). I have the two tone with night sights. It's only slightly larger and heavier than the LCP/P3at, and it fits the same holsters. I feel very confident carrying cocked and locked in the pocket since the safety takes more...

    picking out a 1911...

I love my Rock Islands. I just picked up a Colt New Agent. It's my very first expensive (>$500) 1911.

    Low priced handguns

I'd buy another Sigma in a heartbeat. For the guys that complain about the trigger, why don't you just fix it? There are guides all over the place to fix the trigger pull. It took me all of 15 minutes to fix mine, now the trigger is very smooth and around 6 or 7 pounds. I did the fix where...
