I deploy the knife by starting it with my left index finger via the cutout and thumbhole. I finish the movement with my left thumb. Unless you were asking about something else. ;)
After practice, it deploys fast and easy.
TL;DR warning
Although I have owned various knives- mainly slipjoints as a young man, since I was 10; I often lost them. I decided several years ago that I would start to EDC a knife- knives one of the most useful tools ever. This was after I found THR and was mining as much useful information...

Pretty much and single shot shotgun is very easy to 'takedown'.
Picked this up from the gun shop today, won it on gunbroker. 71' Ruger and I am really happy with it! The finish is pretty nice in my opinion. Anything I need to know?
I have a Leupold VX-3 on a .300 WSM and it is a very nice scope.

But they don't force anyone to leave their brass...
Did you ever try a replacement set of springs from Wollf? Works wonders; I can even cock the hammer with my thumb now... ;)
I changed my hammer spring from a factory 16lb to 11 lb. I got the 9lb one also and plan to try it- some have reported light primer striker but I want to see how it...
