Just fixed my father in law's Blackhawk, gave him the gun back and he went to the bedroom and came back with a H&R 939 (.22 revolver. Sidekick) in a ziplock bag:(:(:(
Has the grips removed and the main spring has the nylon end on it.. naturally in many fragments.
Going to order the metal one...

Sorry I have been negligent about reporting success.......
I had to completely take it apart, to remove the transfer bar. I used a brass punch and gently tapped on the end of the main pin, was kidding myself. I ended up taking a leather glove, putting it in a vice and pounding the crap out of...
I
That's why I can't get pin out. Thanks.
Ordered a set of brass punches, be here Monday.
I was being facetious about him killing me. He does love to give me a hard time. been doing it for 40 years..
I don't know the last time he shot it or that it rusted in the car trunk. He retired...
Haven't marred the barrel badly, couple of tiny spots. What I buggered up was the pin.
I would like to think I have technical skills, I rebuild my chainsaw carbs and have had the whole saws in tiny pieces ( : and they survived.
I have 16 saws btw. Have an addiction...
I always carry my LCP, but my wife saw a NAA with the folding handle and bought me one for Christmas. Now I carry both, I like that the handle serves as a holster. While it's cold the .22 just goes in my coat pocket. The handle clip is awful right so far
Btw the lcp rides in a galco pocket...
I'm always amazed at the number of people that think guns just go off, by themselves...
I have to remember your line that feelings don't ignite them...
Thanks Picher. Been working on it for a few minutes every once in a while.
Have removed grips, main spring .
Can't get the smaller pin out . Guess it is trigger pin.
It is stuck between chambers,btw.
It just occurred to me tonight i have a ultrasonic cleaner and with handle removed it will...
Cp1969 i guess I will follow your advice tomorrow. Have a fear of springs flying everywhere....
I've had a single six for almost 40 years. Never had a lockup on it yet.
I take my semi autos apart without fear, but revolvers make me nervous
Thanks for all the input... Let me do a better job of problem description...
Cylinder does not turn fully, but will rotate a short distance and the base pin is firmly attached.
Hammer won t cock.
Cartridges are all freely slideing back and forth in chambers.
They may be .38 cal.
Yes it was...
My elderly father in laws .357 is locked up.
Can't get the base pin out, cylinder wont turn, hammer wont cock.
I have done a lot of searches and nothing works.
It is fully loaded btw, although between chambers.
I removed the base pin retainer completely and filled it with Hoppes..
Finally caved...
When I was 15, 38 years ago. I had developed a stupid habit of clicking my safety off and on while I was walking thru the woods. Normally, Toby my collie would have been walking right in front of me. The day I bumped the trigger and it went off he was behind me. I sat down sick at my stomach...
I should have found this thread before I bought my wife a 85U. She has to use both index fingers to pull the trigger. And by the time she gets the trigger pulled she is off target. I recommended finger exercises but she just kind of looked at me, like I was stupid.
I don't want to push my luck...
Sounds like a plan to me. There is a Home Depot on my way home from work.
Hopefully someone who works there knows where it is.
I had not thought about drilling a hole at the end of the crack. good idea.
You all really don't like jb weld do you? I thought it would fix anything.

RC
I don't want to be the guy that asks for advice then argues with it, but:)
I don't have quick access to acraglass, my only remaining days to deer hunt are Saturday and Sunday. Is there anything I could get at Autozone, Oreillys etc that would fix it?
The best I can tell all that part...
