I had the same exact problem with a SP101 after sending it in to Ruger for repair for another problem. It never had happened before. I called Ruger and they said to send it in which I did. They called me a week later and said the gun wasn't repairable??????? They did treat me well and replaced...
My wife doesn't get chiggars, They all come to me. Best I've found is applying Avon Skin So Soft bug guard to my legs in the morning and then I spray my boots and pants with a cheap equine fly spray. No more chiggars and any tics may stick but die before embedding.
I originally posted this thread in the handgun section but it got moved into the hunting forum. I am questioning penetration with handgun bullets for animals like bears, hogs. Things one would consider tough skinned, heavy boned or dangerous that one would either be hunting with a handgun or...
Over the years of following forums I've noticed that almost everyone insist on hard cast bullets for penetration on tough/dangerous game. Since FMJ bullets don't expand or even most plated bullets why aren't they just as good of an option?
The .40 will be the top dog again in 10-20 years when some trainer needs something to talk about to make his speel different from all the other trainers so he can get more air time/money.
I had the same crack form on a Kel-Tec P3AT. Called KT and they volunteered a new "grip" as they called it. Said I could choose any color I wanted. I do most of my own work so I didn't even ask about sending it in. It was a simple repair for me and I had the new part in a jiffy.
What didn't you like about the Liquid Wrench?
I didn't feel that the lube quality was nearly as good, it was harder to apply and the spray can was messed up and I always got more on me than anywhere else.
I finished the can on non-important projects and was glad when it was gone.
I tried the liquid wrench and didn't like it at all. IMHO the Hornady One Shot Cleaner and Dry Lube is a much better product. I've been using it for years now.
Also, nothing and I mean nothing slicks up a sticky door lock cylinder better.
With all the talk about first shot accuracy and follow-up shot speeds, I feel first shot accuracy is the same regardless of caliber and follow up speed is variable by the shooter. Has anyone here tested how much longer it takes to make three accurate shots with a 45 caliber or 40 caliber as...
I am the OP and not inexperienced in striker fired guns and their safety features. However I feel the added safety doesn't hurt a thing and I can always leave it in the fire position should I decide to carry it. I won't go into possible situations where the additional safety is just that...
I'm considering a SR 45. I have fondled one a couple of times but not shot one. About the only thing I've seen that I dislike so far is the safety. On the gun I handled the safety could be swept off easily during the draw however I couldn't detect that it had been. (no distinct click felt or...
For me, while both guns will fit into normal jeans, only the 238 will allow me to withdraw from the pocket with a normal grip on the gun. Anything bigger than the 238 won't allow me to get my hand with the gun out quickly.
While the caliber wars will go on forever, I prefer the 380 with all...
