I carry a S&W 66 2.5" crossdraw. I use an elpaso saddlery holster. I have it positioned as far forward as possible that still allows the barrel to move to my side as I sit down. I will be switching to a smaller automatic soon and I will get a similar holster for it.

Just as the title reads, which do you prefer for a full size handgun? The classic which carries horizontally, or the jackass that carries it at an angle? I had a vertical that I could never get comfortable with the draw. I am 6ft 220lbs for reference.

A 1966 browning a5 light 12, vent rib, modified choke, wood and blueing at about 80%. Unfortunately the stock has been fitted with a browning recoil pad and it is my understanding that none of the a5's were ever fitted with recoil pads. Thanks Brian
