    Arcus 98DA & 98DAC..... Opinions?

Who here owns an Arcus 98DA or DAC and is willing to share their opinions of the one they own? Most of the reports I've read have been positive but I'd like to hear your thoughts on them.

    Thompson AO 1911 Question

According to their web site, the AO 1911A1 uses a Series 80 slide with the firing pin block. I've always considered the FP block - just like a mag safety - to be the answer to a non-existent problem. Who here owns an AO and have you removed the FP block?

    Accurate .223 Loads?

I've just purchased a CZ-527 in .223 Remington and I'd like to hear about your favorite 55 grain loads, especially with WW-748 and 4198 powders. I know that the 52/53 grain bullets made for bench rest matches are more accurate but I plan on using the Hornady and Sierra softpoint bullets designed...

    An Ersatz Mosin-Nagant "Sniper" Rifle

Ten years or so back, I bought an 91/30 Mosin-Nagant rifle that had been updated by the Finns with a 1944 Tikka barrel. The bore looks to be new. A friend bent and extended the bolt and I mounted an original wartime PU scope on it using a correct side mount. The scope serial number begins with...

    Romak-3: US or Romanian Build?

And how can you tell? If I'm reading the serial number of my Romak-3 correctly, it was the number 4 rifle built in 2001. There is nothing saying "Cugir" on mine but it does say "Made in Romania" on the receiver. Can anyone tell by the markings on the gun if it was a US built "kit" rifle or...

    Best PSL/Romak-3/Dragunov Surplus Ammo?

What surplus 7.62x54R cartridges have been the most accurate in your semi-auto Soviet/Eastern Bloc "sniper" rifles such as the PSL/Romak-3 or Dragunov/Tiger? So far I've only shot 182 grain steel core heavy ball cartridges in my rifles and accuracy has been OK, but not great. I'm thinking...

Suggestions for 44 Mag load for Puma 92

I've just bought a Puma 1892 rifle in 44 Mag to use in a local "fun" match shooting steel targets at 100 and 150 meters. I bought a box of .44 Special Winchester CAS cartridges loaded with 240 grain lead bullets. They don't seem to be particularly accurate. I'll know more once the Marble's tang...
