Favorite Gun Shops Around the U.S.

I'll be riding around the Country for a month or so and I wouldn't mind stopping at a Gun Shop to stretch my legs once in a while, mostly west of the Mississippi. My favorite here in MI is Jay's in Clare, there's a big Army Surplus next door too. So what's the favorite in your home state...

How to make Unique meter properly every time.

Many years ago I worked in a foundry where there were a lot of sand hoppers. To make the sand flow properly we bolted on air operated vibrators. So I had this idea while loading .38's with Unique, which is notorious for not metering well. I merely need a vibrating device, found one and with a...

    Squibs Happen

Greetings, Just thought I would share an experience I had yesterday. I was shooting WWB Q4255 in my Seecamp when the first shot after reloading sounded and felt weak. I almost pulled the trigger again since there was enough power to cycle another round, but stopped instead to check the...

How to scratch my itch for a Mauser

So I've been thinking about either the K98 from SOG for $290 or the VZ24 from AIM for $230. I've had good luck dealing with both companies. I'll mostly use it to go to the range when I feel like shooting a piece of history. I'm sort of leaning toward the K98 because I don't much care for the...

    Bubba from Sweden

Greetings, I don't know why I couldn't resist buying what appears to be a Swedish M96 yesterday, chambered in 8x57. There isn't really much in the way of markings other than the crowns and a few numbers and what appears to be an import mark. The tag at the store said "Carl Gustav 8x57" but I...

    45 Colt Brass Question

Will the crimp in the middle of this brass give me any trouble reloading? I would like to know before I buy any more. Thanks - Stan

    USFA Sheriff

Greetings, I saw a USFA 4" Nickle plated Sheriff model today in excellent condition for just under $600. It look like a good buy since on the USFA web site they are listed for $1300 HERE. Should I run back with my money in my hand? Will the lack of an ejector be a PITA?

    Not a Steal I know........

But $329 doesn't seem too bad. The bore looks good and no slop in the Cylinder. It has the Mag cylinder in the little red bag, no box or manual. The bluing has some "character" but the grip looks perfect. I called Ruger, the nice lady said it was shipped; Aug 1967. I don't mind paying a little...
