    Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Remington oil a petroleum based product and therefore shouldn't be used in a black powder revolver.

    New gun belt with pistola

    About 3 months ago I bought 5 lbs of Goex from Grafs for 114.40 including Hasmat. That equals 22.88 per lb. I don't think that's too bad

    .36 wads

    I never use wads. I've tried them and decided l don't need them. I just put a little lube over the ball. I'm not saying this is the best way......but it works for me. And I seldom have a FTF.

    Begenning muzzle loading question

    I never use a lubed wad. Just a little lube over the ball. But I've been wondering if anyone knows about how long before a lubed wad will contaminate the powder?

    I've been wondering if anyone has compared a max. load of 4f Goex with a max. load of smokless in the NAA Companion. The max load of 4f seems fairly hefty to me. I've never tried any smokeless in it and probably never will. Just curious. NC

    I have 2 1858 Remmies and haven't had any problems at all with shrapnel in my face. Both my Remmies are Pietta with factory nipples.
