After 5 years since I first posted this
I was at the range this past week-end and I was the only one shooting a revolver (Colt King Cobra) everybody including most of the older guys I saw shooting were using plastic guns now:barf:....I guess Im a dinosaur for liking all steel heavy revolvers.
Because of weight and I live in a hot climate....Ruger LCR
I dont like the DA action only but its so light I forget its there
In the winter.....Colt Diamondback
Im a huge fan of the .38! One of the best all purpose rounds ever along with 9mm and .45.
Ive carried a .38 Ruger and Colt Diamondback for years.
Summer is LCR and winter is Colt time.
The Colt is getting so valuable I really dont want to carry anymore and look for a Smith Model 19 2.5 or...
like myself...I carry a Ruger LCR .38 most of the time because of weight.
If I ever found myself in some situation like Aurora Co shooting or any other that makes the news almost every day now.....what would you do knowing you are out "gunned" with 5 or 6 shots against somebody with 100's of...
I feel the same way about a Glock
IMHO a 1911 and a Glock should not even be in the same sentence together....I really really dislike them...and wonder why people pay 500 bucks for some plastic?.... But to each is own.
The Hogue grips made a huge diff on my SP...its now one of my fav revolvers to shoot
To me its the best deal out there for the money....no way i will pay 600-750 for a new Smith
these days
After problems with the firing pin breaking on the 3rd shot new ....sent it back to Rossi and four weeks later got it back......so far so good.
Ive fired maybe 400 rounds of non +p in the little 38.....mine is a 38 snub but I dont think I would trust .357's even if it was made for.
I shot a SR9 last year and it did not seem bad for striker fired which im not a big fan of
but it did shoot as well as my SP2022 in the same price range.
Ive shot over 2k rounds through my 9mm with only one FTF in the first magazine....I would like to pick up the .40 since its can be found for 400 bucks too. Has anybody had problems with the .40? I know it will be harder to shoot vs 9mm because of poly frame.
These Sigs have to be one of the...
She is 65 and has arthritis in her hands and im looking for standard pressure .38
without much recoil.
I was using 110 gr Winchester silvertips....which is the lowest recoil I could find but is their any make thats less than the WST's?
She loves the LCR grips and weight....I like it too but...
I hate the grip angle
I hate the plastic
I hate that in .40 its waaayyy to light and I cant hit the side of a barn with one
its to light in 9mm also.
did I mention butt ugly too
Its also embedded in hip hop culture which that alone would cause me not to buy one.
When I hear people talk...
With the snake guns thay I love so much and the 1911 ...whats not to like?
But with all the new revolvers and Autos Ruger is putting out and keeping the price down has turned me into a Ruger Guy.
The SP101 is what brought me down this path to guns I just cant say no to
In the past 2 months...
