Mike's Guns in Richardson, Texas has a NIB 1991 A1 for $519.00 but I do not know if it is roll marked. Mike is a nice man and did a hitch in Vietnam in the 'Corps. A 1911 saved his life twice I know of.
Don't even think about a Beretta Blackwing/Whitewing. They skimp on metal in various places to save money and the result is a very light inertia trigger driven O/U that will not recock the trigger on the second shot if you do not shoulder the weapon well. They kick like mules and are butt heavy...
Nice looking gun. I tried to buy one then my dealer reminded me with Ruger's track recordm, these will be on the shelves in 2006. I will stick with my 1911 SA Mil Spec.
Keep in mind SA's are built heavy with tolerances on the plus side. I did the research and from what the factory told me and what I have learned from other 1911 folks, you need to shoot the fire out of an SA to loosen it up. I called the Factory and complained that my mags on my Mil Spec (not...
Ina shtf scenario, my biggest concern would be a steady supply of clean water followed by food, medicine and then safe shelter. Gun wise, give me a .22LR revolver and lever action rifle. I can store hundreds of thousands of .22 LR HP's for a small investment.
That handgun you baby now in the...
OI just cannot afford any more than one pistol right now and I felt like if I had to narrrow it down, the 1911 .45ACP was the way to go.
I went into the guns shop and they had marked it down from $529.00 to $449.00 which seemed like a good deal.
Thanks folks.
Mike:
The dealer I talked with is large volume. He pointed out that Ruger is always very late on delivery like with the side by side shotgun. He called all the master distributors that sell for Ruger and none of them have plans to deliver the 345 in May of this year. I was prepared to buy one...
guys I just talked to the owner of a large gun shop in Dallas. He sis some chekcing for me and in typical Ruger fashion, it may be 18 months before these hit the market for sale. I hope I am wrong but in our phone conversation, the owner pointed out examples from the past on how Ruger makes a...
Marshall:
settle down. think about what you just posted. I have heard of more than a few whop had rust issues. I see the finishes improving significantly each time my favorite gun dealer gets new ones in. I do think it was a valid point of condern. That said, I like the weapon and it feels...
I am glad to hear that the majority of you are having good luck. I likew tge guns and frankly, the wearing of the finish is not an iisue as long as they are not prone to rust with regular maintenance.
All this is a symptom of allowing senators and congressmen to serve more than two terms in office. Other symptoms include: giving yourself a raise each year, having the finest medical and retirement in the world after one term in office and the fact politicians hate it when blue collar workers...
Sorry fellas. I learned about Kahr early on with one that choked, i mean just fell apart after 50 rounds of factory ammo. Mag release, extractor, recoil spring just crapped out.
Gun for gun, they are worth about $350.00 a piece if that.
With Kahr, you are the R&D Department. I got mine...
In love and with all due respect
Yes the XD feel great. Yes it is accurate but shy do I spend $450.00 on one when I know the blued version is going to rust? I can take that same money or slightly less and get a Ruger P 95/97 or a Sig 2340/2009 and be worry free.
Yes I think the XD is a...
