    New Release Beretta 92Xi

    1. SAO is usually much better than the SA pull on a DA/SA trigger, especially if comparing similar models like a SAO Beretta vs DA/SA Beretta. 2. Looks to be mainly focused on target shooters, I don't think a large volume of other segments opt for SAO handguns these days. 3. There are lots of...

    New Release Beretta 92Xi

    What a ridiculous statement.

    New Release Beretta 92Xi

I'll be adding one of these new 92Xi's to the collection, my biggest gripe with Beretta pistols is the slide mounted safety/decocker and the lousy SA/DA trigger on the standard models.

    New Release Beretta 92Xi

Beretta has made several models over the years, not just the older original model. Here's my 92 Steel I (steel frame, vertec grip SAO trigger) Also my Beretta 92 Combat combo (SAO trigger)

9x19 mm, long slide 6", what's on the market?

The 952 is a nice looking gun and shoots well. I know a guy at the range that had one a while back, he was always complaining about issues with the barrel bushing setup from memory. I haven't tried the American P210, I have an original Swiss P49 (P210-2) fitted with adjustable target sights...

9x19 mm, long slide 6", what's on the market?

"10 seconds 5 shots have to be fired, range 25 meters" - if this is your main criteria then how about a S&W 52-2? It's not a 6" 9mm, its a 5" .38 special semi auto 5 shot SAO steel frame handgun which should be in your budget. Its more than capable of competing with the best target 9mm handguns...

    2206?

I've had a 2206 for a long time, I don't shoot it a crazy amount but it works just fine. Its a cool little .22 with a somewhat unique design. I like it.

    5.7 pistol?

I have a FN 57, mainly just for something different to shoot at the range. Its pretty bulky but never fails to draw attention with the fireball, noise and throwing brass at the guys several lanes over :)

    HK 91 .308: Home Defense

An old school battle rifle in .308 kinda sounds like everything you "don't" want in a home defence gun. Its big, its heavy, its cumbersome and its a .308! Skipping the serious penetration power/problems of a .308 do you really want to be firing multiple .308 rds indoors with no hearing...

    Rolex and Handgun Shooting

I have a Rolex Submariner, in a draw, somewhere, I think, hope. I've never worn it shooting, diving a couple times. It has become a wardrobe accessory more than anything else since I carry a phone basically 24/7 and for the last few years now a fitbit on my wrist which is far more useful to me...

(Walther) Colt Gold Cup .22...any experiences?

You would be better off with a Ruger 22/45 those 1911 .22's are cheap junk. The 22/45 has the same grip angle as a 1911 and the controls are basically the same.

    Beretta 92 Combat Combo

I have a 92 Combat Combo that I picked up new a few years back. IMO its one of the better shooting Beretta 92's with the SAO trigger, longer barrel and frame mounted safety.

.357 mag vs .38 sp: can police forensics tell the difference?

Between a .38 and .357 I'd very much doubt it apart from perhaps a hot .357 load where a .38 simply couldn't create the same amount of damage. Although a hot .38 load from a longer barreled lever action rifle for example vs a .357 revolver could throw that out as well. People reloading...

If you shot a handgun once a week.

Not sure exactly, over a year though, lost count of how many I actually have nowadays.

Do you use every knife you own?

I have well over 100 knives ranging in price from sub $100 up to around $2500, I have probably 5 or 6 that I use none of which cost over $200. I don't need to "use" the knives to appreciate the materials/design/craftsmanship that goes into the higher end knives I own.

    FN 57

I have one. It makes for an interesting range toy. I couldn't imagine using it for anything else.

Why do people post pics of targets...

Regardless if they post all the details, off hand 25 yards, the type of ammo etc its still comes down to "what some guy said on the internet". Take it with a grain of salt. That said I don't get why people even bother posting things like 7 yard targets

Win white box, enough said. Try it again with some decent ammo or run a reduced power recoil spring.

    New .44 AutoMag production

Its true that flooding the market with them at a cheap price would do away with some of the desirability of them as well as possibly alienate the owners of earlier models but if they want to stay in business they'll need to find a price that sells and I wouldn't consider $2k to be all that...
