    Who scopes their .22s?

Yup, both my .22 rifles have scopes. a 6-18 Leupold on my CPC worked-over Ruger 10/22 LVT (below), and a 6.5-20 Leupold on my Anschutz 64R as I like to try and make small groups with both. My Ruger 22/45 Mk. III that I use for Bullseye competition wears a Vortex red dot. Old eyes you know...

Wilson 92G vs Sig 226 Legion

Sounds like a great choice! I am in an opposite position as I have a Langdon LTT Elite and have been wondering if I "need" some type of P226? Love the Langdon, but have always liked and also shot well the 226. I think one can't go wrong with one of each. Enjoy the new 226!

Is there anything particular to consider with a BERETTA 92 A1 ammo wise?

I have only used MecGar 18 round magazines in my Langdon 92 and they work great, and are reasonably priced. Would buy more.

Is there anything particular to consider with a BERETTA 92 A1 ammo wise?

I have a Langdon LTT Elite and it eats everything. 124 gr. factory Blazer brass, 115 random factory stuff and my 125gr LRN reloads (coated lead bullets) over Hodgdon HP-38. Not a single FTF or FTE in around 500 rounds. p.s. MecGar 18 rounds magazines are inexpensive and run flawlessly!

    Old GP100's or New GP100's

    Can't say I would have a preference. I have a 5" stainless GP-100 and am super pleased!

Trust Yourself, Colt Officer near DISASTER

I picked up my brass rod(s) from Home Depot for cheap. Can't damage steel barrel with a brass rod. Glad it all worked out!

    New Marlin v. Henry...and specials

I have a Henry 30-30 with the color case hardened finish and it is finished as well as any rifle I own. Mine is 4 years old, and does not have the side gate. Has very nice wood, good wood to metal fit and cycles super smoothly. Would happily buy another. I also own a JM Marlin 1894 in .357...

    Mini 14 Magazines

I have a current serial # Mini, and the Ruger factory mags work flawlessly. I have the 5, 10 20 and 30 round magazines, and they all work the same. I probably use the 20 rounders the most. If you look around, all of those are available, and remember, the 300 Blk labeled Mini mags work with...

Decide, les baer, wilson combat, ?

I have a Baer PII I purchased used a few years ago. Had only 150 rounds down the pipe. Now has over 2K rounds through it. I have to agree with everything Tark has said. They are great guns. I shoot almost entirely handloaded 200 LSWC's through it and it functions great. Is a Baer heads and...

White lithium grease on 1911 barrel/bushing

Also a fan of grease in things that slide (slides, sears, etc.) and oil on everything else. I too use Lubriplate and Slip2000 products.

    Where are the GP100 fans???

Had a 4" GP until I found a 5" one. Sold the 4" and bought the 5" and love it. Shoot almost entirely .38's and it's both accurate and super soft shooting. Guessing it will last for ever. Big fan. Now about the .44 Spcl GP-100...

What slings are you guys using for AR15s?

Two point Magpul MS-1 (I think that's the model) on my BCM and also on my AK. As someone else said, works well for shooting and also if you need to sling the rifle from your front shooting position to your back to move.

Is .45-70 worth it if you're not using it to hunt?

Another 45-70 fan. Have a Marlin 1895 that is only a range gun. I have approx. 600 rounds through it and it is a hoot. Has the trajectory of a mortar round, and makes a resounding "clang" on steel at 200 yds. Through a spotting scope, you can see that big chunk of lead (300 gr. boolit)...

Zeroing Home Defence and Self Defence

Another 50/200 yd zero adherant. I use my AR for some competitions at 50-60yds at my local range, and also like to ding steel at approx. 220yds. at the same range. I have an Aimpoint red dot sight and feel very confident making the shot out to 220 yds. 25 yds an inch or so low, 100 yds an...

    4" or 5" barrel for a 357 magnum?

Had a 4" GP-100 which I liked. I sold that and purchased a "previously enjoyed" 5" GP-100 which I like you use as a range gun. Really like the extra inch of barrel. Balances nicely. Let us know how you like the new GP!

Which .357 Lever Action brand is good?

Agree with most of what's been said. I have a Marlin 1894C (pre-Remlin), an 1895 in 45-70 (a Remlin) and a Henry in 30-30. They are all great guns, even the Remlin 1895 from 2015. Wouldn't get rid of any of them. Have also heard good things about the Rossi. Let us know what you decide!

    Current Mini-14 - Worth the $$$

I purchased a 580 series Ranch Rifle about a month ago from an online retailer. Not too hard to find. Mine is the wood stocked, stainless barreled 18" version (model 5802). Before shooting, I did buy and install an ASI bushing kit - swapped the 0.080" factory gas bushing for a 0.040" bushing...

New Mini 14 Range and Accuracy?

I bought a new Mini-14 (580 series) a few weeks ago. Wood stock and stainless receiver/barrel. I've only taken it to the range and shot it out to 50 yards so far (about 80 rds to sight in and break in barrel). With the stock peep iron sights, I was able to get 5 shots around 1 1/2" at 50 yds...

    First shots with new-to-me rifle

I recently purchased a new wood stocked Mini-14, and so far love it. Before taking it to the range, I did purchase the bushing kit from ASI ($23 if I recall) and installed the .45" gas bushing before ever shooting it and it worked great. I have shot a stock 580 series Mini a friend has, and it...

New AR shooters at the range, malfunctions and pools of lube

Wet. I own a BCM Mod 0 and have adhered to Pat Rogers methodology of running them wet. I use Slip 2000 and have put almost 4,000 rounds through mine with zero malfunctions. I also shoot with some guys who work at BCM (here in WI) in some of our AR competitions at a local range and they too...
