    Sig making own primers?

The more the better, I'm about to become a strung out primer junky.

Progress in fight against state level AWB?

I can't find much on the subject. I don't think the time will ever be better to get a state-level AWB case to SCOTUS given the makeup of the court right now. It's tough living in a blue state like Washington, when they push assault weapons bans and magazine capacity limits constantly. Anyone...

Starline 223 brass difficult to resize

I anneal frequently. Definitely helps but I still have to use a lot of force on the die to get starline to resize properly. It does have the least case volume of all 223 brass I've ever used so yeah, possible that is due to thicker case walls, which in turn would make them harder to resize. I...

Starline 223 brass difficult to resize

Anyone else noticed this? I got my press set up to full length resize Winchester 223 brass. Just followed the usual full length sizer setup and the brass comes out just right with headspace back to spec. Throw a Starline case in there and no dice, headspace still way to high and won't chamber...

    Full size single stack 9mm

I also use suspenders when I carry a heavy gun, much more comfortable for all day carry.

Awesome! Just don't want to pull these 50 rounds if I can shoot them. I've backed the load off for the next batch.

Already got the G48 and it's perfect. Looking at the P365XL, yes, that would have done it. Light and thin, basically same as the G48. Only deficiency is the 3.7" barrel relative to the G48 4.2" barrel. Small difference. But alas that ship has saled. Shot the G48 today, it will do.

    Full size single stack 9mm

New question: Can the G48 take +P ammo? I don't want to shoot +P but my initial hand loads, using the Alliant recipe of 6.4 grains power pistol with a 124 grain HP seem very on the +P side of things. Curious if they are safe to shoot. I've loaded down to 5.6 grains of Power Pistol for my next...

G48 just came in, exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for everyone's inputs.

Yeah, full size 1911 definitely does not meet the weight requirement. I have a Springfield TRP, never carry it, love to shoot it. If war breaks out, I'll carry it then.

That 92 Type M is tempting. A little wide at 1.4 but not a deal breaker. 31 ounces... not terrible.

Just got the G48 off Gun Broker, now I just need a holster!

Yes of course. But size is a principal criterion in my instance. I want 4"+ barrel length, light, and thin. Give me the best gun that meets those criteria and doesn't cost $$$. G48 looks like is suits. Others work for sure. Care to expand beyond this if you have more to add? I'm curious.

    Full size single stack 9mm

For sure! Owned a lot of pistols, carried a lot of pistols. I know what I want in terms of size, and Glock fits the bill in the other departments, no question. Size is important for this particular pistol, and it's the primary criteria for THIS ONE, in addition to 9mm, proven reliability, and...

Very interesting! Those are closely matched pistols for sure. The Kahr CT9 is a bit thinner and the same weight. Just found this new website, most of you already probably know it, but it's pretty cool the way you can instantly compare any two pistols: Glock G48 vs Kahr CT9 size comparison |...

    Full size single stack 9mm

Thanks for all the replies! Right now the G48 and P225-A1 are top contenders. A 96 Brigadier was my first ever pistol a looonng time ago. Actually thicker than the standard 92/96. I think you are thinking of a different Beretta model. I don't think they make a single stack 92 anymore. As for...

    Full size single stack 9mm

Very nice, a little too much $$ for a carry gun. Also not exactly light and skinny. Thinking more like a Glock 43 with a longer barrel and 8 capacity.

    Full size single stack 9mm

I really want a single stack 9mm, as skinny as possible and light weight but NOT compact. At least 4" barrel. Is there such a thing? Search just turns up full size double stack or subcompact single stack.

6.5 Guys Excel Statistical Load Development

Dubious at best. They fail to reject the null hypothesis: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Null_hypothesis Until they have figured out how to determine a reasonable group size metric and its associated confidence intervals, the 6.5 guys conclusions are not supported by the data. Excel has the...
