    AR pistol build

I just got finished putting one together. My goal was a budget friendly AR build. The parts used were a Anderson stripped lower, PSA MOE lower parts kit, and a Androcorp AR 10.5 upper. Like stated above, I would not go below a 10.5 barrel but if you want to go shorter that is your choice...

Glock 19 to Glock 42 (concealed carry)?

I just recently picked up my G42 from Gunbroker. My collection includes several Glock models (19,23,21,20,26,27). Finally have found a .380 that I am comfortable with. Have tried Bersa, Sig, and a few others. The G42 is light enough to be pocket carried without feeling like carrying a brick...

Best SD diet for the XDs 45?

Golden Sabers or Winchester Rangers 230gr go through mine without any issues.

    Looking at 1911's

Look at Sig for a good 1911. I have a Sig 1911 compact and if you compare features, Sig makes a great 1911 with a lot of extras that you would not get with another manufacturer. I have about 300 rds through mine without a single hitch.

    $400 striker/9mm

Did not see a FNS 9 mentioned. I just picked one up for under $400 with NS and 3 mags. I am being converted from Glocks. Still like my 19 and 23 but the grip and ergos of the the FNS are winning me over. It has been cold here so I only have one mag through it but it is worth looking at.

    15 rounds of .45 goodness-FNX-45 by a 1911 guy

My FNX is the best .45 double stack to shoot. I have smaller hands and I would take it over a Glock any time. Just picked up a FNS 9 and I am getting converted from Glock.

Need a recommendation for a Small, flat 9mm for dalily carry.

Even with the recall, I would recommend the XDs. I own a 45 but the 9 is the same frame. The .45 is one of the nicest shooting .45 pistols that I own. Throw in a IWB holster and it hides away even with just a shirt and tie.

Got Ammo Need Gun - 1911

Sig makes a good 1911 for the money. If not, Ruger would be my second choice.

Thinking of trading G26 for XDs

I switched from a G27 to a XDs .45. Started with my Glock and I cannot bring myself to get rid of it. Have a .22 and 9mm conversions for it. You are correct about the large capacity mags in a G26/27. They are fun. Actually have 2 XDs in 45. One is pre recall and one is post recall. I...

    Glock 19 slide/barrel/spring on G23 frame?

Should be OK. The 19 and 23 are the same frame. Make sure the spring is installed and centered but everything should be OK.

    Springfield XDs Recall

Just got this last night - XD-S™ Recall Update 10/11/2013 Dear Springfield Customer, We are pleased to announce that our testing was successful and is complete. We will receive our first shipment of upgrade parts early next week and will begin shipping upgraded XD-S™ pistols back to...

Why the hype about the XDs?

I own several Glock models. My first CCW was a G27. My EDC was a XDs till it went back for the recall. I have tried a G30 and G36 and cannot seem to shoot them well. The compact Glocks tear me up when spending any range time with them. I don't have any issues with my G29. My hands just do...

Guess the xds is a no go

Check the serial numbers against the recall. They may be out of the recall. Mine ran perfectly but I sent it in anyway. Still had my G27 and 23 to cover handle the duties till the XDs is back. Did not realize how well the XDs conceals till I had to go back carrying the G27.

    Options on 357Sig?

Own a G23 with a G32 barrel and a P229 in .40 with the 357 Sig barrel. Both handle the .357 Sig round very well. Glock or Sig would be my choice but that is just me and my worthless opinion. Try and see what works for you.

I'm so confused: Sig P239 or Glock 19?

Glock 19/23 has my vote. Had a P239. Was a great gun and worked well but was heavy and I could carry the G19 just as good. Like stated, I had a P239 and still have the G19.

Help my xds is jammed with a round in the chamber

My XDs will cycle the slide without the grip safety depressed. Maybe they are trying to tell you to get a firm grip while trying to rack the slide.

Need help choosing a new .45

Not going to say anything bad about the Sig P220 except for the capacity. Handles and feels right in the hand, recoil is soft, and a .22 kit is the perfect practice gun. The most rds that you can carry is 10 +1. The FNX is my favorite .45 handgun. It is one of the softest shoothing .45...

    147gr 9-mm

I like 147gr because I can run them in my suppressed pistols and don't have to buy subsonic ammo. Shoots will in my Sigs and M&P. Shoot some and see how you and the pistol handle them. What works for me, may not work for you.

    Springfield EMP

Had one and sold it. I would rather have a G19 and some ammo for the cost of the EMP. Still have my G19. Personally would not drop that kind of change for the EMP. But if you have it and want to spend it, then go ahead. What may work for me will not work for you.

Found one! Sig 1911R TacOps TB

The only thing better is a Sig TacOps carry with a Silencerco Osprey attached. Only had a chance to put a few rounds through but I enjoyed every minute. Good choice for a 1911.
