Look at the Charter Arms Bulldog. Mine is in bead blasted SS. Pretty low
key by it's self. But it is ready for any finnish you may want. Nice, small
44sp carry piece. It seems like the more Break-Free that I rub into it, the
darker and duller the SS gets. It is getting a med to dark gray...
FN-LAR, Brit L1A1, Israeli L1A1,etc.... The #1 choice of over 60 nations
worldwide and with good reason. It is the battle rifle that the US should be using. It WORKS!! Period!
JMHO!!
One word concerning Mini-14's
JUNK!!!
(my SKS shoots circles around every Mini-14 that I have ever seen)...
All of the 50's that I have seen had a different muzzle brake. Much larger.
(wider and flatter, similar to the Barrett). A nephew of mine who is in the
Marine 3rd Force Recon batt has sent pics of some of the brits that he has
worked with. The 338 Lapua's have a round brake and the one 50...
artherd, it was a .338 Lapua Mag. If the bbl had not been fluted, this would
not have happened. Skip the fluting on high octane cartridges. There have
been many studies that say that fluting shows little or no increase in accuracy.
Those same studies show that weight reduction is...
Charter Arms Stainless Bulldog: 44 spec 5 shot. Factory CCI ammo; 200gr
Gold-Dot hp's at 850fps. I can get the same bullet in handloads to 950fps
without too much prob. That matches 45 ACP for all practical purposes.
And the 44 spec does all that at 15,000 psi or less!! Very easy to shoot...
Nothing that a little lapping compound wont fix! Hell, if a person uses JB Bore
Cleaner a few times a year, that person is changing his rifling signature a few
times a year. :neener: :neener: :neener: :neener: :neener: :neener:
I have an 80's in 44 spec and love it. The only reason that I bought my
new Charter Arms 2000 in 44spec SS is for carry in the hot summer sweat.
Both are exellent. 200g Gold-Dot hp's at 900fps. Bad news for the bad guys!!
Springfield Armory M1A! End of discussion. Take your pick:
Match ?
Super Match ?
Ultra Match ?
M21 Sniper ?
GYGS Carlos Hathcock Comemoritive "White Feather" model?
Chrome-Moly bbls?
Kreiger SS bbls?
Wood stock or Synthetic?
They will put together any set-up that you want!
NMshooter, I beg to differ with you concerning the 7600 pump. I have one
with syn stock and the thing is a 1MOA rifle. (30-06). On the 7600's the
fore-arm and magazine tube are completly separate from the bbl. The bbl is
totally free-floated from the receiver out. That is why everyone that I...
The MN DNR rates feral cats as the #1 threat to Pheseant populations outside
of loss of habitat. If we jump a cat while bird hunting, the bird hunting stops
until the cat is dead! And my 2 Labs know what to do with wild cats. If they don't kill them, they tree them. 1-3/8oz of 4 shot does the...
FLAK. That's what I am talking about.
(Mmmm, I smell coffee.)
I can use my semi L1A1 for any hunting in MN.
I can also use my Clip fed M1A and CTME.
MN has no mag restrictions for hunting or anything else.
And you stay in "frisco". I can put a 20rd clip in my L1A1 and go deer hunting.
You can't even get , let alone use one of these rifles. You could not pay me enough to live in CA.
Don't take this wrong, but you poeple in NY,MA NJ, CA, etc..... need to get
your act together. Or else move to another state. The fight has to draw a line
somewhere. Fight or flee. make a choice. Nuf Said !! JMHO.
