Depends on the trigger. I have several Taurus revolvers with not very good triggers. I am less accurate firing those in DA than SA. I have several S&W revolvers with excellent triggers. I am acceptably accurate with those when firing double action.

Tip down, so if I stick my hand in my pocket I don't get surprised by a half-open knife. My preference is for assisted-opening knives with pocket clips. Without those restrictions I don't suppose I would worry about it much.
